I am in again this week - thanks Natty for the lists. I have been doing a bit of flying in my absence and the house was clean and tidy when the French student arrived. It has gone downhill since then though.

The French student was a very nice pleasant 15 year old until his last evening when he was bought home by the police for shoplifting:eek: Not sure how he got on when he got home with his parents as they haven't bothered to ring us...OH is not impressed.

I started on the bedroom today and got distracted by sorting out my jewelry boxes. I spent hours untangling my bracelets and necklaces and now have a migraine:( I have to go and finish off or I won't be able to get into bed.

hope all the poorlies feel better soon.

    glad Pixie is safe pigpen

AF seems to have disappered here although last time she reappeared after 13 months - I was not impressed.

GWS vibes to all poorlies, especially froddy - not the best way to start the holiday!

Thanks ionafan (and all the others who sent thoughts) but it's not the holidays yet. It wouldn't have been so bad if it was.

Anyhow, I went to work and then came home at lunchtime as my shoulders were getting stiff and sore :o Better after a lazy afternoon though.

Now, if only my leg would dry up a bit and stop stinging!!

    Disaster, me :o!!!

Needless to say, no flying here - but I am about to clean out ratties before bed time.

    Evening all

Busy day with not enough flying. Only laundry, hoping to catch up a bit tomorrow.

Mum has been told her op was a success so she is on the waiting list for the reversal.

DS2's presents wrapped, not much as I was uninspired but I'll take him out to lunch and look into getting him insured to drive the little car.

    FGB meeting done.

Off to bed in a minute as AF is here again and tiring me out - she is now either here early or late, I preferred it when she was more predicatable.

Oh I'm so pee'd off; I just typed a huge post and the internet crashed.
So if it appears twice, apologies.
Lots of healing vibes to a lot of people. Dustykitten is it possible that all your sore throats are hay fever? I seem to recall your boy(s) getting it at the same time as me, and I've been on eyedrops for a while and have had to take a tablet a couple of times lately.

Couple of students this morning, then managed to have a swim on my way home. Encouraged by my friend who is just getting out of the pool as I get in, I did just a bit more than last Wed; 32 lengths in 20 mins as fast as I could. I texted her to report, and she has set me 36 in 22mins for Weds target!

Started to blitz the master bedroom, luckily few clothes lying around as I'm just about keeping on top of that. I did tackle the dressing table, which was full of a very eclectic mix of clutter. Lots of cosmetics - and I hardly ever wear makeup - so I sorted those, during which I wore something from a tube labelled 'mask moisturiser' followed by night cream (well it was 6.15). I have put all sample tubes of cream into a makeup bag and will periodically use it up. My normal routine is my beloved N1vea S0ft which I stockpile when on offer.

Bunbun2 I joined you in the jewellery sort. I now have several sets of necklace/earrings/bracelet each in its own box - there were several small boxes contributing to the clutter - and I labelled each box. My life, I have the planet's greatest collection of single earrings. Whereas my basket of singleton socks tends to be reunited with its partner within a reasonable length of time, the same cannot be said for earrings. I went through a phase of trying to convince myself that having a different earring in each ear was trendy - but at 57 I'm not convincing anyone. So I put everything on a tray to sort out tomorrow while I cleared the surface. Lots of little plastic tags, where I've cut the price off clothes. A magnet. ???? not a clue where that came from. Lots of dust. I pulled the dressing table away from the wall. Horror and embarrassment; Hertfordshire's entire dust and cobweb collection. Now vacuumed.

I'm exhausted now; it must have been the swimming.

Excellent news. I hope she will feel a bit more cheerful once they have reversed it.

    Evening all!

Managed everything off my list today except the lawn, as we had rain.

Relieved that Pixie is safe, pigpen.
    Great find Mrs-mp !
Elastic, I don't envy you the mess.

Early start for me tomorrow so I'm ready for bed. See you tomorrow !
