I ve set up an account now and it's been factory reset and it says Firmware version 2.1- update 1 whatever that means but I still can t see an option to update it to the latest one.

March 6, 2012. Android Market is dead. Long live Google Play! The change will happen for those with Android 2.2 or higher (below that, Android Market stays Android Market).

Just read this before I came on site and thought that it might be relevant to the discussion.

It looks like as your on version 2.1 you wont be able to download Google Play

Mind you it does say Please use the Google play store app to access Google play. When I click on it I get Missing I'd. No I d passed with uri

In which case you may need to reset your phone then manually put on an updated Android version, which my previous post provided guidance on for Android Kitkat. Unfortunately you'll need to do this (or get someone more tech-savvy to do it/help you) else we'll just be going round in circles.

Even if you could get the Playstore, it wouldn't have helped as the Priority moments app requires Android 2.3 onwards.

In fact I think you would find that most apps, wouldn't support such as old version.
