    Have you actually signed in to a Google account on your phone? Android Market/Google Play Store updates itself without any need for intervention.

    Good Morning hopeless Susie here lol . I use an iPad mainly don't know how to have two pages on the one page if you know what I mean . I ll have time to have another look this afternoon.

    Good point, I had assumed the OP had WiFi turned on.

    Yes I had the wifi turned on but I don't understand this business of signing into a Google account.

    To see if your signed into your google account go to the marketplace and try to download a free app/game, if your not signed in you should get asked to enter your google (which is just your gmail account login details) sign in information.

    If you are signed in the app/game with download straight away.

    Hi I ll try that. I believe I've restored it to factory settings but doesn't seem to have made a difference.
