  • Ppl also don't realise that the farmer is within their rights to shoot the dog. And it isn't the dogs fault its the owners. In work I had a woman ring up crying. She had parked up to let her dogs have a run around and they had bolted after sheep, she then told me they had done this before and killed several sheep. How stupid to just let them off in a field of sheep

I agree, I grew up in a rural area of Scotland, p[eople in the village knew about responsibility and that farmers had the right to destroy out of control animals. Normally local police prosecuted the owner, what would happen if these animals were in a playpark and suddenly saw children like sheep??
From knowledge of those owners, they taught the animals agression and bought breeds that could easily be turned into killers.

Thoroughly enjoyed the political debate this evening. I think we're in for some interesting times ahead.

Tinyshoes love your new bathroom :)

Makes me :o sat here waiting for my new kitchen :D

I would also like a new bathroom but council say NO so I have to put up with grotty peach units and awful tiles :rotfl::rotfl: nicest thing in bathroom is the shower its fairly new and I bought it and got plumber to install :D

Try some tile paint tweets it's good value and as a council house I believe you are allowed to use it. Could then put a nice wall art sticker up to add a new twist. Might make you love the peach units again. I know what is is like to hate your tiles as my house is private rent. Did paint walls but have to repaint magnolia when I leave.

Sorry about your weight but a week without Belgium chocs should see you right.

Off on another house clearing few days tomorrow. Have 12 boxes in car so I can start the task of scanning in and selling books.

Hornetgirl when we swore probate we had to pop to another solicitor and was funny as ours told us £7.50 cash but other only wanted £5. Our cheeky solicitor had put a 50% mark up on. Should be back by now but not heard anything yet.

Having a strange few days. Refuse to speak about dad in the past tense:A

Snap-ant hope your sort out goes ok I know you don't like to get rid of things:A

 We got charged £10, we were robbed! It seems very strange the way they seem to want to deal in cash for this...

I'm seeing this election as a vote to keep people out rather than a vote to get people in. It's all so up in the air

I have had the odd treat this last week :D;) Belgium chocs and meringue cake where very tasty

Iceland say they never anticipated just how popular these SW meals were going to be. They have opened up another factory just to produce the numbers needed now

Unfortunately we'll miss all the wheeling and dealing that will go on afterwards as we go on holiday a couple of days later. I wonder if we'll come home to a minority government the way things are going at the moment.

Think the tense thing is perfectly normal. If you are handling his things and the like its normal to speak about his 'things' as if they still belong to him :A It's not an easy thing to do but you are making it part of the grieving process which isn't a bad thing :)

£7.50? how cheeky! £5 is the expected nominal fee. There has to be a payment by some ancient law but putting a mark up on it is

Ah, maybe it was £5 for each of us then. It all seemed much less formal than I was expecting.
