Unfortunately we'll miss all the wheeling and dealing that will go on afterwards as we go on holiday a couple of days later. I wonder if we'll come home to a minority government the way things are going at the moment.

I would not be surprised at all. I find it quite  my whole life we've expected one or another and the last election was a big shocker. It feels strange to think a hung parliament might be the expected outcome.

I have to say not my preferred outcome :o

Ah, maybe it was £5 for each of us then. It all seemed much less formal than I was expecting.

it's a very old fashioned thing that just exists. I find it a bit pompous myself.
You can have a civil servant/doctor/dentist blah blah blah sign a passport to let you travel the world but you need a solicitor to be a notary?

There are some things that need adjusting!

Oh I recorded the political debate and thought I'd watch a bit before QT comes on. I've just switched it off again :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Nicola Sturgeon.......if my Granny were alive she'd say 'that's one wee lassie tryin to eat an awfy big cake' :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I'd agree :D So false. And has so obviously realised the second prize could be bigger than the first.

That's my political ranting over for tonight :silenced::silenced::silenced:
Sorry to disagree, do you live in Scotland? Unfortunately national media have misrepresented the SNP. They have achieved a lot, first of all had a government that did not have a majority and managed to have proggresive politics, working with all sides for the better good.
Council tax freeze, free prescriptions, no tuition fees, all were supported by many other parties. Then a majority, yet we still have committees of all groups and there is no abhorrent, unelected, House of Lords.
ALSO Scottish Parliament does not have the baying and jeerimg that the Westminster parliament has.
About time for reform and true democracy. A party can have a majority government even thought the total votes are for another party?? That is why our two party system sustains itself, they do not want anyone else to have an influence. Sorry to say that the LD's seem to have been lap dogs for almost five years and now trying to seperate themselves. Give us PR that will give the people a proper voice.
Scotland is not agianst the UK, yes for independence and self determination, but also against undemocraticn government. Heck, we do not even have a constitution. in the UK.
    That is my comparable rant.
I would just adsk people not to comment on the appearance of leaders, it is not appearance that counts, it is their opinions. Too often female politicians have been criticised for dress sense, looks and hair. Yet males are not. And the worst thing is, that the ones doing this criticism can be mainly female.
    Knackered typing now LOL
  • We are lucky on our farm and have has no instances of dogs attacking stock thankfully. Just ppl not pick up the poop and we had 3 cows abort from neospora (sp?) Ordering some signs asking ppl to pick it up politely and why. I'm this again is just not realising.

Where I work we have lots of dog walkers and most have them under control and are well behaved. Just that woman wound me up!

Thanks Fc didn't realise it was a grey area. I have known it happen though on more than 1 occasion.
I have dyslexia, so get used to my spelling and grammar :)

I don't think it matters what time you check. I checked mine this morning just before I posted about it and it was after 9am. An update must have been done sometime between 8pm last night and when ChelseaFred did his shop. They don't usually do any updates during this period but that's the only explanation that makes sense. They are probably working on fixing issues now they've got this new data company involved :(
    Bar Stewards!

    ChelseaFred:)
I could be wrong but it's my firm belief that the problem is the time you shopped, not the time you checked. I checked my post this morning which was at 12:21pm. I had checked my APGs immediately before that post and everything worked. They were for 3 shops, 2 done around 6pm and one for cereal bars done around 8pm.

You should have been safe with that early morning but something went wrong unfortunately but I don't think checking your receipt earlier would have changed anything.

I shopped in the middle of the night and all worked fine, however, I set my alarm to check APG's before 9am so the difference would appear to be the times we checked our receipts and not the times we shopped.

it must be great to have these, I wonder who pays for the imbalance. do you really think it fair that the same rights/costs are not equal both sides of the wall.

I'm going to have a female related rant before I go to bed. if you're a man....scroll past quickly :D :rotfl::rotfl:

For the best part of 20 years I have have been going for smear tests and for 20 years they've been 'abnormal' resulting in some quite unpleasant treatment :o

My NHS trust has changed their testing policy and have decided instead of detecting abnormal 'likely cancer creating' cells they will test for the HPV virus instead......it's responsible for 70% of cervical cancer. I came in just after the introduction and have just had a letter today confirming my second clear from HPV smear test.

I question this :( so after nearly 20 years of abnormal tests. I have 2 clear tests after the testing policy has changed :( am I worried? YES. Have I had 20 years of unnecessary treatment? or am I missing out on treatment I should be having now? :o

I spoke to a professor at my uni the other day who was under the impression that if you have the HPV virus then it's present and doesn't ever go away.

    it's been bothering me :o
  • Just had my letter. Haven't booked appointment yet. This raises some questions. Poor nurse. lol

    Yeah, it is media misinformation.
    http://www.heraldscotland.com/politics/referendum-news/new-report-scots-paying-more-tax-than-rest-of-uk.20777183

Yes we can say that certain regions pay more or receive more than others, is it fair to single out on minority?
    How about London?
    http://www.theguardian.com/news/datablog/2014/aug/07/london-gets-24-times-as-much-infrastructure-north-east-england

I blame the media for driving a wedge between different areas of the UK. We probably all agree that the truly needys hould receive help. Do the Etonians know what life is like in a deprived council estate without the chance of university?. Farage is one too http://www.huffingtonpost.co.uk/2014/05/21/ukip-nigel-farage-anit-establishment_n_5363871.html

Ask for a second opinion. Be brave and seek the best medical advice. Do you have any other medical insurance or union/student union support?
I wish you the best, don't let them fob you off, get advice from cancer charities etc.
