How about saying that their children obviously take after them:eek:

Hi all, I'm not having a good time and need to ask advice again please (sorry for being such a moaner :o ) I've quit my job yesterday because things came to a head. OH and I had had a tiff and I tried to talk to my boss when she asked if I was ok but she was just nasty to me. I went to a job with her but started panicking about things that had been said/happening. I needed to get out and go home. I told her I was feeling unwell due to anxiety and I needed to see the doctor. She threatened me if I left I won't have a job. I told her I'm not upto working that day and apologised and left. I made a list of everything she's done to upset me, mostly since yesterday except for the job she didn't want to pay me for which I mentioned on here last week. I've now been signed off work by my GP for a month. I'm really angry that she's treated me this way and wonder if I have a case for legal action. I know I didn't get anywhere with this with my other boss but this boss knows about my ASD and anxiety issues so I feel I should get something for the distress she has caused me. The following is my list of horrible things she has done:
    • Promised me 25 hours guaranteed and an admin job. Then she gave the admin job to someone else. I’d told her I would do it after she stops giving me so many cleaning jobs that there was no time left.
    • Nasty to me when I told her I was upset and she told me to look in the mirror and that I've brought it on myself
    • At first said she would not pay me £41 she owed me as I didn’t work a week as in the contract
    • Was nasty saying I should grow up and learn responsibility
    • Sent text next day demanding I return customers key to her same day. I asked about my pay and she replied I would get it at the end of the month. This is not what normally happens.
    • Accused me of stealing key and threatening to call police
    • Twice she has said that customers have said their house isn’t clean. First customer said she was unhappy with kitchen and bathroom but rest of house was ok. Boss wasn’t going to pay me anything but then agreed to pay for 2 hours rather than the 4 hours I did after I told her my partner was seeking legal advice. She then sent another girl for 4 hours without inspecting what I’d done. Of course this girl said it was filthy and pocketed 4 hours pay for a few things I missed that shouldn’t have taken more than an hour. The 2 hours is part of the £41 she still owes me so I still haven’t been paid. I spent 6 hours on another customers house and it was immaculate but now she'saying the customer asked what have I done for 6 hours? She is aware I have ASD and that this will cause me immense anxiety to worry about my ability to clean and what went wrong
    • She had a dig about me not loving my children because of personal information I told her
    • Said that my partner is controlling and will throw me out
    • Gave my personal mobile number to a new cleaner without my permission (against data protections act) to pester me about returning the key

Is it worth me pursuing this and if so how do I go about it? I'm not sure what kind of solicitor would deal with this :undecided TIA

ETA most of her nastiness was in text so I have the proof

Evangeline, am I right in recalling you have only been in that job for a very short time? If so then I believe employment law has changed, I think she can just boot you for next to no reason

Although someone like FC may know better?

It would seem she is simply a nasty person.

And I briefly looked into taking out a constructive dismissal case some time ago but it was very expensive and there is a very short time frame
