Subject to M2M's HD results soon I'm assuming the Dettol wipes are no more
Therefore I was scanning other items in the 3 for £5 in a friendly store and found that when you scanned Febreze Caribbean Paradise aerosol, it came up as the 2 pack of Cotton aerosols (which arent in the offer). I scanned that one too and that product came up correct. They had different barcodes
I'm assuming this wont work in our favour and is just a glitch in the scanning app? Assuming the APG will work off the product named on the receipt?0 -
Last night she gave birth to a perfect little boy, my 2nd grandson:j
Weighing in at 6lbs 7 oz was a good weight considering he was nearly 2 weeks early and DIL is Pilipino (but brought up in London/devon for most of her life)so she is tiny, DS is white British and nearly 6 foot. I cant wait to visit at the weekendso lots of trips down to London for me- Ill have to check out the local As whilst there;)
Now to go and catch up and see what I have missed- any good offers or glitches around at the moment?
coffee any one?:coffee:
:j:j Congratulations to your DS and DIL :j:j0 -

Hi all,
Just done a test BNI shop and the earlier suspicions are correct, £3.20 return.
Tikka & Korma compared at £1.90 and Flatbreads at £1.50.
Still not too bad at £2.80 but we have been spoilt!

we have also found Environmental Health to be useless.
My neighbour was always very keen on bonfires, usually on nice sunny days when the sheets were on the line and we did ask him to stop - he said he had confidential papers to destroy ( well so does everyone but most people use a shredder and most peoples confidential papers do not smell of burning plastic. And incidentally he must have an industrial furnace where he works)
Then he started a bonfire at 6 on a hot summers morning consisting of burning plastics again so I leapt out of bed to slam the bedroom windows shut. OH was going to work at the time and as he was getting in the car next door was coming back (left the fire unattended while he went to the petrol station) with a petrol can for the bonfire
OH went around to see him after work and was told "not now" and sent away
I contacted EH but they seemed to think nothing of it - normal behaviour apparently
I know how you feel. I wonder if the DV Team do the same and tell victims to just get on with it the way EH do it. It's not on.
When I emailed EH, the response I got made me feel like I was being a busy body and that I had nothing better to do. They should come and live in this house for a week and they will know exactly how I feel. Sooooo annoyed!0 -

It's actually against the law to have a bonfire in your garden. I found this out to my shame a few years back when I was burining garden rubbish in a metal brazier. I had always thought I was conscientious; trying to time it when neighbours weren't in garden, no wahsing on lines etc. However, one of them called the fire brigade. They were quite nice and polite and told me I could only have a bonfire in my garden on bonfire night.
I know you may not want to put your head over the parapet but it is an option to call the fire brigade especially if he's leaving it unattended/ accelerating it with petrol0 -
We had new neighbours move in a few years ago they left a huge tree stump unattended smouldering, the smoke was unbearable so mr monkey put the hose pipe on it to put out the fire and told them when they came back that the fire brigade had been out to it and put it out... They've not had a fire since:j0

Garden bonfires: the rules
There are no laws against having a bonfire, but there are laws for the nuisance they can cause.
