Unfortunately not. Environmental Health officers are useless unless it's a Council tenancy. Our house is owned as is the house next door, so they say "we could come and investigate but these are just household noises and we can't tell people when they can and can't close doors". The thing is they don't close them, they slam them at full pelt regardless of when it is. I might have to stop paying my Council tax then if they can't provide me with a service!:eek::eek::eek:

we have also found Environmental Health to be useless.
My neighbour was always very keen on bonfires, usually on nice sunny days when the sheets were on the line and we did ask him to stop - he said he had confidential papers to destroy ( well so does everyone but most people use a shredder and most peoples confidential papers do not smell of burning plastic. And incidentally he must have an industrial furnace where he works)

Then he started a bonfire at 6 on a hot summers morning consisting of burning plastics again so I leapt out of bed to slam the bedroom windows shut. OH was going to work at the time and as he was getting in the car next door was coming back (left the fire unattended while he went to the petrol station) with a petrol can for the bonfire
OH went around to see him after work and was told "not now" and sent away :(

I contacted EH but they seemed to think nothing of it - normal behaviour apparently

Hello afternoon everyone- im back from my short break to Majorca with DH and 14 year old teenage monster (grandson). Had a fairly stress free time, we were going to teat ourselves and eat out but.... RTC fresh meat put paid to that, I couldn't resist and bought enough meat for 6days, together with RTC veg for stir fry but full priced strawberries:eek:
DH done some wombling and found 1 euro in a trolley:)
14 year old monster had a bet on the grand national as we always have done for many years - he only picked the winner out and won £125 he only had £2.50 ew on it so he was happy:j planning to put the money towards a ps4:(:(
At Palma airport yesterday DH ordered from B.King a bbq rib burger advertised for 5.50 euro but was charge 3.50 euro - 'glitch'
Stopped at T on the way home for BNI and small pp after buying 2 Kormas realised they were dated 12th went CC who exchanged them for 2 different curries I had my pp and apology but I think an email to cc is called for??
:j:j:j DIL was kept in St Thomas hospital in London after being at work all day and went just to drop of a sample (38 weeks pregnant) due to leave work the following day. Everything was fine she had diabetes that one can get with pregnancy, and high blood pressure. :jLast night she gave birth to a perfect little boy, my 2nd grandson:j
Weighing in at 6lbs 7 oz was a good weight considering he was nearly 2 weeks early and DIL is Pilipino (but brought up in London/devon for most of her life)so she is tiny, DS is white British and nearly 6 foot. I cant wait to visit at the weekend :) so lots of trips down to London for me- Ill have to check out the local As whilst there;)
Now to go and catch up and see what I have missed- any good offers or glitches around at the moment?
    coffee any one?:coffee:

Do we think Bold is still good for a CC, I saw talk yesterday about a price change in T, but can't see any signs of that on the T site/MSM?

Did anyone know you can see how S.bobs compares to As. Take a peep

Yes, it is included in post 1 on this thread where it also mentions that you can log in via your nectar account and see brand match details for all your shops over the past 8 weeks.

Yes, this problem has been going on for a couple of weeks. It does work on the iPad, as you say. I have also found a work-around on Chrome but it doesn't seem advisable when we are getting a message about an expired Certificate. I contacted Sainsbury's a couple of weeks ago with my observations but they don't seem to have rectified the problem, perhaps they don't care!
