Hi all,
Had a great day at Boots even if the main reduced sections were pretty rubbish.
After carry about my 500 points for buying any memory card voucher in my purse for the past 2 weeks finally got 5 memory cards at £2.50. The 500 points wouldn't scan so the store manager added 2500 points on for me. :T
Even better I think I was only charged £7.50. I also got a random 16 points when 2 or the memory cards were put through individually.
Only thing is I was actually late back at work from lunch for being in the store for so long. However I did work a bit later anyway.
This was at the Craigmillar? branch but the main reduced section was pretty rubbish. I never checked the baby clothing section though.
Got myself another Giorgio Armani mens wash bag with shampoo and body wash for £1. This was at Shandwick Place? but again the reduced section is pretty small and rubbish.
Princess Street branch was pretty rubbish in my opinion but the baby clothes section had some nice reduced clothing. I picked up a pair of JCB 4-5 year old trousers which were £13 but I must have only paid £5?for them. Not sure how as it only had a 1/2 price sticker so perhaps it had been further reduced but missing a sticker (not that I'm complaining). oh and got a skincare voucher. ;-)
Spent £22.50 of my precious points on Estee Lauder foundation for sisters birthday. Managed to get a mini sample of pore minimiser without booking a consultation (card was taken from Cosmo magazine a couple of weeks ago) as I said I wanted to give it to my sister.
Put in my photos to get developed for free using last Boots mag voucher.
The other small Boots near burger king along Princess St was rubbish as well as the one inside the ST James centre.
Hit or a miss really.Tesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)
Boots points: £0.28

hi
Not many bargains in my local boots!!
But can i ask a question about the sale bits and pieces, If it has a white clearance sticker on the product is that the actual price or will this be reduced again when I get to the till??
Also can you get more than 1 voucher of the same product from the ac machine, e.g Half price hair colour or does it only print out 1 per advantage card???
I am sorry for all the question
thanks0 -

Hello, whenever i use my boots card in the machine-i never seem to get any offers/none that i can use and are of any use to me....anyone else feel a bit left out or am i the only one who doesnt get any offers?!
keely.
The new machine -a pink horror - is just as bad as the old one that kept breaking down, so the system obviously discriminates against some users.
His card is about 4 months old.I can cook and sew, make flowers grow.0 -

Today I decided to call customer services and explain the problem. They said I should contact the store and ask them to fix the machine  . If I did this, every store in the south east would need fixing and all you fellow Bootsers would have no ACM's   .
She then said that this was indeed a very odd problem because as far as they could tell, my card was working fine as I am receiving my points when I shop. I explained that this is all very well, but I want my vouchers (I have already missed out on so many  ). She eventually agreed to send a new card - which will take 3-4 weeks.
Fingers crossed that the new one will work - will keep you updated.
This happened my mum too but the new card they sent doesn't get any vouchers either!0 -

Yeah I love it - so very addictive though. There are actually a couple more but DH would not be amused if I got home any later than 7pm ishTesco points: 101 (£21.50, £19.50, £7.50, £21 & £5)

Thanks for your reply. (minx 01)
I'm very new to all this and have never used the ACM! My local store (Holyhead) does not have one and the nearest store with an ACM is LLandudno. After reading about all the vouchers you are all getting can't wait to have a go - just hope it works and that I get some useful vouchers.
Cheers again.0 -

Depends what voucher it is. You are usually able to print off more than one voucher (sometimes 3 or 5), but sometimes it's only one, especially if it is a freebie.
