A heads up - I spotted the new promotion for a superhero toy *and* cheap cinema tickets bundle but checked the T&C's first. Travel insurance NO LONGER COUNTS (at least for this particular offshoot promotion). They've even put it in bold in their conditions, if you dig far enough:

    http://www.comparethemarket.com/information/heroic-rewards-terms/

    2.3 Non qualifying purchases

Currently the following products are not qualifying purchases made through comparethemarket.com:
    i Travel insurance;

That's a huge shame, they must have seen the MSE website and altered their T+C

    Not true.

Meerkat movies has been running for over a year as has the travel loophole.

CtM confirmed to Martin they were happy for the travel loophole to run and run.

Travel is still a valid product to qualify for Meerkat Movies http://www.comparethemarket.com/information/meerkat-movies-terms/

    5) a) i

The "heroic" CtM reward (toy and movies) is an entirely seperate promotion.

Does anyone have a spare code for today? :)

Was planning to just buy cheap travel insurance but just read about the 48 hour activation - and could really do with one today!

    Thanks :)

EDIT: I no longer need one, so send one to jinkssick if you have one :)

Did you buy anything through the website last year, 10 or so months ago?

I'd guess you did and that product gave you Meerkat Movies without you being aware.

You could always query it with Compare the Market.

Is this deal still running? Or do I need to wait for the current deal to end before being able to get the travel insurance offer?

ETA - looks like I can still purchase it.... are you able to buy 2 at the same address or does it need to be different post codes ? Mostly it would just be 2 of us going ( me & 1 child or me & dh ) but if we are both off work - very rare to be off at the same time! - or taking the 2 kids it would be useful to have 2 codes.

    Thanks

Is it just me or is Travel insurance no longer a qualifying purchase for 2 for 1? their site only lists , Home, Car and Energy at the top. Then it's 'looking for something else?' further down. there's was some mention of this but thought it might be referring to that plus the toy.

Also, does anyone have a spare code for next week? If so, would be much appreciated if you can PM me with it. Thanks in advance.

Look at recent posts, there are 2 issues:

"Heroic" promotion for Toy & MM deal, Travel is not valid.

Just MM, travel does qualify as a product, is not widely advertised (ie at the top) but is in the current T&Cs if you read them- i've also highlighted exactly which part says this in a post a few days ago.

This seems to come round periodically, with posters swearing travel is no longer valid, because they have looked at the headline qualifying products (which naturally are the biggest money makers for CtM) and not read the T&Cs, which makes it clear there are quite a few additional products, including travel, that still qualify.

If in doubt contact Compare the Market. I can't see anything after a quick scan of T&Cs about it being one per household, one per person should be allowed.

If you think about it not everyone lives with a partner or alone so it'd be pretty unfair per household only!
