    I would love to know if people are getting another 12 months for buying travel insurance. The T&C's this year show this:

    2.3 Non qualifying purchases
    Currently the following products are not qualifying purchases made through comparethemarket.com:
    i Travel insurance;
    ii Business insurance (including but not limited Public Liability, Employers Liability and Professional Indemnity Insurance);
    iii Breakdown;
    vi Business Energy;
    v Mortgages;
    vi Savings (including but not limited to Cash ISAs)
    vii Current Account;
    viii Health insurance;
    ix Income protection insurance;
    x Mobile phone and SIM only contract applications

    This clearly shows that Travel insurance does not qualify this year but people having been posting that they have purchased a single trip insurance and got another 12 months 2 for 1.

    Easy answer- you are looking at the wrong T&Cs.

    As discussed already at length recently, there is a "heroic" promotion for a toy & MM- travel does not qualify- you are quoting those T&Cs.

    For Meerkat Movies alone, travel does qualify, as other posters have shown.
  • My Meerkat Movies has just run out. How long does it take from the time of purchasing insurance to being able to use it does it take?
    I'm hoping to go this Wednesday. Last year I think there was a delay because so many people were signing up around the same time.
    Is 1 day travel insurance still the best option?

    Read my last post as I answered your first question.

    I can't think of a cheaper option other than travel insurance.

    Got mine for £2.00. Thank you for the tips. Saved me a whole heap of money as I was about to buy a load of tickets through the benefits scheme at work with 25% off.

    Heroic rewards got me a Meerkat and movies for a year - this was car insurance though.

    Hi. I got a new credit card & received the 2 for 1 deal (for Tues & Weds) but when I went to my local cinema it cost me £6.50 instead of the £4 Tuesday special offer I expected. I was told the 2 for 1 deal is not offered on the £4 ticket, you have to buy full price ticket at £6.50 so I will actually only save £1.50 each time. Not such a good deal!

    Cineworld stopped cheap Tuesdays soon after Meerkat Movies came in. I didn't know any cinema offered it still so that's lucky.

    There is also the saving still available on a Wednesday.

    You may be able to combine the two - I know for a fact that the Cineworld e-vouchers offered through Filmology can be used in conjunction with Meerkat Movies.

    Purchased again just now as my last year expired, bought travel insurance for £2.61, waiting for app to update and activate.

    Looking forward to sharing the love and enjoy the cinema for another year, although I do have vouchers for cineworld with my bank account so may keep meerkat for odeon or vue cinemas.

    Very happy, thought it would have been pulled since it was a 'loop' hole last year,

    You should be able to use the Cineworld vouchers in conjunction with Meerkat Movies.
