ERV is coming on top of the list. I added 1 child with Travel Insurance policy for 1 day single trip in UK and came up £1.71
I will wait for 48 hours to validate my purchase and then will be able to activate 2for1 movies.....0 -
Paid £2.03 for a 1 day UK travel insurance policy with ERV last night, and had my code validated by 5pm today.
£2.03 for 1 year cinema 2 for 1! Only have to use it once and that's the money recouped. Thanks MSE!
Another positive... if I do decide to travel somewhere tomorrow, and have a major catastrophe, I will have (pretty poor) insurance.0 -
You don't necessarily have to buy any insurance. I've taken out a credit card instead (which also gives cashback on purchases) and that works too.
I appreciate not everyone wants/can get access to a credit card though.0 -
Just be aware that getting a credit card will add a credit search and a credit account onto your credit file.
This could be harmful to some people, for example it increases your available credit.
This could (for example) stop you getting a credit card you really want or too many searches can result in refusal.
It won't be harmful for everyone, but if there is other credit you really need (like a mortgage) the consider this carefully.
I paid £2.05 which wasa £1.71 plus IPT.
Not bothered, but curious as to how others are getting £1.71.
It is because I asked for adult and I'm 46 and other are asking for child.0 -
Hi, I did this deal a few weeks back and now see it's being promoted on the MSE newsletter. Brilliant deal.
Don't know if this is a good tip or not but when I did my travel insurance search I did it at 11pm and then asked for travel insurance on that same date (of which there was only an hour left). I specified it was just for me (an adult), that it was a one way trip and that it was within the UK.
My price? £1.39 with ERV.
I've already made that money back after only using 1 code so far. Plus I have an unlimited card and Meerkat Movies works perfectly with that just like Orange Wednesday's did. I was sad when OW finished buy MM is a much better offer.
Cheers Aleksander!0 -
It was a bit of work but got my meerkat code and put the app on my phone within 24 hours. Cost me £3.71 with Go travel for 1 days travel insurance, might have cost more than posted on here as I'm over 65. Well worth the effort though.0

£2.05 paid for Erv Lite 1 day travel insurance for tomorrow.
Now all I have to work out is 'where shall I go'!!
Purchased the insurance at 6.30pm last night and was able to activate the 2 for 1 Meerkat Movies when I tried tonight.
Thanks MoneySavingExpert :j0 -
I just validated my 1 week travel insurance with ERV at £2.74 and it's activated the deal YES!!!!!0

Took out £2.67, (incl 20% Ins Tax, so £2.22) single person 1 day travel policy with ERV yesterday morning. Downloaded the App, checked this evening, activated. I'm not sure how CTM.com are making anything out of this unless it is by selling contact details on.0

I'm not sure how CTM.com are making anything out of this
They have advertised their name and ERV has done quite well out of it.
If they buy these codes in bulk then I expect they pay a low price.
A proportion of people may now well use the site now they have the name in their mind and a positive association.
I'm fairly sure they are getting what they want for a price they are happy with otherwise they would have closed it down by now.0
