Hate it! Find it difficult to read and not easy on the eye. Now using Hot UK more than MSE.

Reading some previous posts, can you revert to the old style and if so, how?

MANDELBROT I have tried that numerous times and it doesn't save it! I hate this new version but it seems I am stuck with it!

And if changing the skin doesn't work either, then you will need to contact the Forum Team direct and get them to change things back to the way you want them.

I get the new version when I'm not logged in, and the old version when I am.

I quite often browse the forum without logging in and I really have tried with the new-look site but I can see why everyone is moaning. The white background is a little intense, it needs more colour to break it up. There's no "forum jump" button (at least, not when browsing, maybe this appears when logged in?), which I normally use a lot.

I know that a few people have moaned about the OP appearing at the top of the page, I've got used to this now and if I don't start frantically scrolling up and down to find the end of the thread, I find that the page settles down to show the most recent reply. It does seem slow though and I use an ancient Dell laptop, so I'm not exactly used to lightspeed performance. But even by my pedestrian standards, it's not impressive.

I understand that with the increased use of smaller devices, the forum layout probably needed a make-over. But this doesn't appear to be working out well for anyone, no matter how they're accessing the site.

Bug: can't do a quoted-reply on mobile landscape view, Android Chrome. Press the '+' button, press 'quote' option AND IT ADDS A THANKS TO THE POST UNDERNEATH ARGGGH

To all those I've thanked over the last couple of weeks, it may be by mistake!

ETA: and why does my avatar randomly appear or not appear in my posts?

From someone that hates change, from someone that takes ages to get my head round new things, I applaud this new fresh layout and welcome it.
