The uncertainty around cashback/chequeback offers is fast becoming scandalous and reflects poorly on MSE, who are actively promoting them (quite rightly), but providing little support or useful guidance to people like me still waiting for the promised £50 cheque.
It would be great to see a post from MSE on their position on this please - and some help other than to suggest emailing affiliates@bt.com, which seems like a proverbial black hole!
C'mon MSE, step up to the plate please!0 -

Reading this thread...who could seriously be arsed with the problems to save a few £'s per month on their broadband over 12 months???
Some people are too obsessed with saving a little bit of money!0 -
glad I cam across this thread. I was considering weather I go through the MSE route of what seemed a good as guaranteed £50 cashback from BT or use TopCashBack which is offering £110.
Although TCB not guaranteed, experience so far has taught me that it's fairly smooth and worth it.0 -
I signed up for the above deal via the 5 Oct Email and have had confirmation from BT that the £100 card is on its way.
I'm now trying to claim the £40 vch (M&S), when I click on the link in the 5 Oct Email it shows a different offer.
Does anyone have the correct link or give me advice on how to make the claim.0 -

The fact that MSE are still advertising this on the site and it has been the No.1 trending topic for some time suggests that this is something that needs to be verified quickly. I would be very disappointed if the £50 cheque is not valid, as it would make the cost per month the equivalent of £22.42 a month and not the £18.24 the MSE people are advertising - which is not as good as the SSE's Ultrafast Fibre Broadband + Talk Anytime - which also has better speeds and (obviously) the ability to use your home phone at all time.
As stulx11 says - time for some answers MSE chaps. This could be deemed as false advertising....0 -
Signed up for the advertised BT deal - cancelled today as it had got stuck in the system. 2 phone calls-cut off on the first call and 2nd guy assured me all was well. I kept probing as I wasn't convinced - he got his manager to check it and manager could access info the guy couldn't see. Turns out my order hadn't gone through.
Guy on the phone most apologetic, but what a stupid position for BT to put their staff in. The guy was telling me what his system told him was the truth - but turns out he was lying. How cross would I have been had I discovered all this when it came to light the order had gone wrong.
Looking for another deal now - no way am I going with BT if this is how they treat people trying to become their customer.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Hey everyone,
I'm really sorry to hear that some of you have had some issues with a couple of these BT deals. I can assure you that they're genuine offers! (We wouldn't feature them if not).
I'll try and answer as many of your questions as possible here - With most rewards from BT (vouchers, prepaid card, cashback etc) you'll need to submit a claim form using your order number once your broadband is active. Here are all the links you'll need to claim for the various offers:
Prepaid mastercard/reward card: https://www.vouchers.bt.com/claim-my-reward/
Cashback: https://www.vouchers.bt.com/offer/cashback
M&S voucher: https://www.broadbandbenefits.co.uk/marksandspencers/Default.asp
To successfully claim you'll need your BT VOL reference or order (AJM) reference. Cashback cheques and prepaid cards should arrive within 30 days of claiming, M&S vouchers in 45 days.
Please be assured that the majority of users don't have any issues with this process and receive their rewards as planned, however we do have processes in place with BT in case you do encounter any difficulties.
So if you do find you have any issues following your claim please email us directly at voucherhelp@moneysavingexpert.com and we'll tell you best way to chase things up.
I hope this helps reassure everyone!0 -
Another thing to mention is that, if you're having a problem with billing or installation, these issues are all handled directly by BT and not MSE - So in these cases you're best contacting BT directly at the following link, and the team should be able to resolve your problem for you.

Hope this helps guys.0 -
MSE Imogen...sorry but there IS a problem with the M&S Voucher claim, and I'm beginning to suspect that it is a quite deliberate policy of BT to get to the top of the "deal" pile and then hope new customers give up with their claim. As such, MSE are equally culpable for blagging a seemingly impossible deal.
If I click your link and read the T&C's, my MSE blagged deal (ordered 10th October) is NOT within the date range specified... and BT are very clear about that...
"Details of chosen partner and promotional periods are below. Orders placed outside of these dates and via any other site do not qualify for this offer."
Furthermore, if you brazenly ignore this dire warning and claim your £40 of M&S Vouchers using this page, you receive a similarly censorious email...
"This will involve making sure that your order is both installed and was placed online during the dates specified "here". Please note, if you do not meet this criteria, you will not receive a Gift Card."
Needless to say, the date range in the T&C's linked to... doesn't match my claim!!!
So currently I have a "case" open with BT which they have failed to respond to for 4 days. I want a page link from which I can claim my blagged £40 of M&S Vouchers that doesn't insist my dates don't qualify!!!
Like I say... it's beginning to look like a scam and MSE & BT must rectify the situation or stop advertising these deals.
Of course, I may end up receiving my M&S Vouchers... but BT only say my dates are wrong. Oh... and that I should wait 30 days before contacting them!
Needless to say, I have screen grabs of everything so far, ready to send to The Sunday Times "Money" section should this nonsense continue! Who knows... maybe I'll end up with my vouchers AND some compensation for the wasted hours.0 -
