    Hi All

After Fridays meltdown on the Mummy front I will be back and flying tomorrow. It was my weekend off work so made the most of family time. Saturday we went and got DD1 school shoes, plus DD2 to a new polly pocket set for being such a good girl last week (DD1 got nothing). I had booked them both into a fairy school in the afternoon so DH and I got to watch them dressed up like fairies doing dancing and craft and generally having a grand time. They had a photo session too, the superimpose backgrounds so it looks like they are sitting on toadstools etc, really looking forward to seeing the pics.

Today we popped to Peterborough and got some stuff from Asda for a BBQ at lunchtime, then quick trip to chinese supermarket (yummy). Got DD1 pack lunch bag etc so just daps to buy and thats the lot.

DH cooked the BBQ and did the dishes, littles played in the garden and we had a bounce on the trampoline and generally had a good weekend.

Thanks for the suggestions re horrid child - will restart chart and place stool in porch for "thinking time", bought a new timer today too. Will see how it goes. Think she got herself worked out about the fairy workshop. She seems to have a habit of pushing and pushing if she knows something is arranged, almost like she wants you to stop her from going - very strange.

    Anyway enough waffling.

Not the day I was hoping for!

DS was horrid this afternoon and so spent an hour sat in his bedroom thinking about his behaviour, back chat and general lack of respect and ungratefulness.
Put a bit of a downer on the day!
Been to the site lil_me recommended for behaviour charts. Thanks for that.

I managed to paint the bottom part of the back gate and tidy up the end part of the garden so that looks reasonablely tidy for now.
Desperately need to have a trip or 3 out to the local tip and get rid of the junk from the garden then we can commence part 2 of the garden revamp.

Nothing done indoors apart from daily essentials.

Tomorrow is a new day and the start of a new week.
Planning on going out with a friend and her son either a.m or p.m. need to wait for her call in the morning to find out which, so flying will have to be done around picnics and park.
...it is not of more importance than daily life, which I have an enduring wish to make as useful and beautiful as possible.

Thanks for the new list Lil-me.
Have not done much today. But I dont go to work until 1030 tomorrow, so should be able to make a dent in the (untidy) kitchen.
One thing I did do today was fix the freezer door. Have been waiting over 3 weeks for hubby to do it. Eventually did it myself!!
Lesson learned - If you want something doing - do it yourself!
Anyway, off to reply to some emails.

P.S. I had chicken pox 3 years ago at the grand old age of 35! You should have seen the look on the doctors face when he told me what the spots were!! I think I was the oldest patient he'd ever had!!

I'm in for another week :T Thanks to lil_me for the new week's thread :)

Tomorrow, I'm aiming to do all three levels plus I want to:
    • Strip and re-make the boys' beds
    • Take recycling to the recycling centre
    • Do an inventory for the pantry, chucking out anything past it's use by date.
    • Write menu plan for this week (preferably using up some of the stuff in the pantry/freezer
    • Supermarket!
Hope everyone has a good day - we're off to the office from 10am-2pm tomorrow, and then going to throw the boys out in the garden if the weather is as glorious as it was today!

    Hi All

Well after feeling extremely ill on Thursday and not getting out of bed all day apart from to go to the bathroom to throw up and then not doing much on Friday as I still felt a bit fragile, I've been to Rhyl for the weekend so done absolutely nothing.

But I will be back on track with you all tomorrow and hopefully get the house sort of tidy before we go away for a week on Friday.

Must start packing as well or else I'll end up washing and ironing on Friday before we go. My DD seems to have different clothes on every time I turn my back and she either puts her clothes in the wash (after wearing them for a couple of hours or even just trying them on), puts them back in her drawers screwed up so they need ironing again or leaves them on the floor so they end up in the wash again as I don't know whether they're clean or dirty!

Right I'm going to bed now - see you all in the morning.

  • Hiya everyone,

Thanks again lil_me for the list!

I am gonna get on again tomorrow and am going to have extra work to do as we have had a bit of a disaster at home, after making my bathroom sparkle last week, we noticed after having used the shower that water was leaking through into the kitchen!

So to cut a long story short, we now have no bath panel, half the tiles hanging off, large cracks in the kitchen ceiling, rotten bath panel and floor boards and a very untidy bathroom/landing!!!

We have to have it all dried out and refitted and sealed etc before we can even think of cleaning the bathroom again, and we cant get the bath/shower area wet for 2 weeks!

So, great just what i needed when we are going away this saturday (skeggy!) and i wanted to have a tidy house to come home to, and i cant dye my hair now!!!

Ah well, thanks to all you guys i will atleast have the rest of the house clean and tidy, i have even been picking fruit and plan on making jam, and i invested in a pinny! :rotfl:

Anyway off to bed now so take care everone and see you all tomorrow!

    Loadsa love

    Good morning everyone

We came back from sunny Skegness on Saturday to a rainy Scotland, I have 4 loads of wet washing, 1 of these is on the drying screen, it looks like I have to use the tumble dryer.

If it is ok with you guys, I am ready to join in fully with the list again, the house was tidy before we went on holiday but the kitchen is full of stuff now that came out of the suitcases, including Skeggie sand!!

My kids only have a week left of the summer holidays it has gone fast this summer, I will miss them when they go back, I love having them home, not having to set the alarm. So list today is as follows:

Kitchen (level 1 and 2 at least)
    [STRIKE]ironing[/STRIKE]
    TD
visit to optician (DD broke the leg off her glasses while on holiday)
tidy and hoover living room (kids can do their share)
    put suitcases in the loft
    make two birthday cards

that is enough to get on with for the moment.

Hope you all have a lovely sunny day today.. :grouphug:
