Jewish people will be voting Tory apparently:
http://survation.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/General-Election-Poll-Tables.pdfThe Jewish Chronicle had a new Survation poll of British Jews, suggesting a large majority of British Jews would vote Conservative in an election tomorrow. Voting intentions were CON 69%, LAB 22%, LDEM 2%, UKIP 2%0 -

Noticed that myself.
Sort of ironic really, when you consider who is the current Labour Party leader.
But there are reasons.

As I posted I had a thing in the back of my head that said that in past elections, Jewish people had tended more towards Lab than Cons so I wondered what had changed.0 -
One of the biggest deals in years affecting a household name UK company has been proposed today.
Border exit monitoring is being brought in for the first time.
The only important story according to the BBC is a proposed tax change that will only bring in a small amount of extra tax if any at all.I think....0 -

I've done a little reading since. Is this a fair summation of things?

It's much easier to follow the fortunes of Tottenham than UK politics from Aus. I do miss an awful lot.
It is possible to do but you have to dig quite deeply into the websites. Front page news is just the Westminster soap opera as a rule.0 -

4/9 Tories
9/4 Labour
But I now think that my comfort was misplaced, because we are very likely to have a hung parliament, and with the SNP expected to win up to 55 seats, I fear the worst. It looks extremely close to me.

Yes I've been mesmerised by those odds, despite them reverting back somewhat during the last few days, and a Labour punt then might have been a shrewd bet. They've been completely different to the individual seat odds the bookies offer. If you add up the favourites, Labour turn out to have most seats.
Populus/Hanover calculates the odds of various coalition combinations. On this basis even the Greens are more likely to have a share in government than the Tories (seriously).
Electoral calculus thinks the parties have a much greater chance of a majority than this. 23% for Labour, 19% for the Conservatives.

Election forecast and Election etc still forecast the Tories will be just ahead on seats but with Miliband favourite as PM

Jews are wealthy and renowned entrepreneurs, so don't rely on state benefits. Also, they are obviously concerned about religious extremism which Labour has ignored for years due to political correctness while encouraging people that desire state benefits into the country.
So a majority in favour of a Tory government is hardly a surprise. :T0 -
It is worrying that the highest odds is a Labour/SNP government.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Debt free Wannabe, Budgeting and Banking and Savings and Investment boards.
