Halifax No Details of Me

I have an entry on my credit file that says I am six months behind payments on a loan from Halifax that was last updated in August 2009.
I have tried to contact Halifax giving them all my previous addresses and they have no record of me on their system.
I have written to the address I have for their credit controller on several occasions with zero response, the address I have is:
PLD UNDERWRITING, FLOOR 4, PHASE 3, 1, LOVELL PARK ROAD, LEEDS, LS1 1NS
This is affecting my credit score and I want this removed does anyone have any phone numbers that I can call to speak to someone at Halifax that can help me resolve this.
Every time I call the contact centre I fail Data Protection as I don't have any account numbers that I can quote.
Experian even got in touch with them for me and they provided a reference number to quote and when I quote this again the contact centre don't know what I am talking about.
Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated as I am starting to tear my hair out!!!

Contact the Financial Ombudsman."Facism arrives as your friend. It will restore your honour, make you feel proud, protect your house, give you a job, clean up the neighbourhood, remind you of how great you once were, clear out the venal and the corrupt, remove anything you feel is unlike you... [it] doesn't walk in saying, "our programme means militias, mass imprisonments, transportations, war and persecution."0

You haven't said whether the loan is yours or not. Did you have a loan with Halifax back in 2009?
I thought Experian had a service for taking up these matters with the lender. Ask them to sort it out.
Failing that, write (not phone or email) to Halifax and make a formal complaint. If they fail to resolve it then it's off to the Ombudsman as Gaz has said.Optimists see a glass half full

Dispute via the CRA then go to the FOS and ICO if no luck there.Still rolling rolling rolling......
