The first reply was more or less to a tee. There really is not much you can do here , and the Terms and Conditions do state that prices can be changed at any time or without notice. As has been said , theoretically you could indeed return the goods and then buy again at the current price , but as was also said , its a long way to go.
Try raising the issue with JLD , you may be able to get £20 or so back onto your card as a Goodwill gesture.0 -

The OP got the difference in price sorted (after some 'persuasion'!).
So they did ... didnt take the time to read beyond the 1st couple of posts
Alls well that ends well then.
I take a pretty neutral view of pricing etc. at JLD , however anyone who wants to get their desired item for the lowest going rate has my full backing. :beer:0 -

I'm glad the OP got things sorted.
If they think their's was a big problem, I bought (NOT brought!) a new lcd TV online yesterday and I 've noticed today the price has dropped by a whopping £2.
Should I report this to the police, trading standards etc. or write to the retailer demanding the £2 or even threaten them with Small Claims Court?
This is really stressing me out, should I also claim compensation for all this or what?

For those needing a sense of humour transplant -no Im not being serious! But it has reduced by £2 though!0 -
£2 is 200 pennies, SUE SUE SUE!!!!!

I can only imagine the emotional distress this has caused you, clearly the scamming fraudsters need to be named and shamed and you need to sue them! The money, Dave...0 -
I don't understand why everybody is being so negative about this posting?
If the OP just returns the item gets a refund and then re-buys it.. job done,,
I've just done that today with an xbox360 from tesco..
Local tesco had it in at 279 with no bundle.
Further away tesco had it with a free pad and free game.
Took the original one I'd bought two weeks ago back to the original store.. got refund and then went to other store and bought other one.
It's common practice.. in fact places like mothercare will simply give you a refund for the difference on their offers if you take your reciept in as even they're savvy to the fact that people would just return the item and then re-buy it.
I'm not saying it the "moral" thing to do, or it's the correct thing to do.. but I'm gonna get back £80 on a travel system for my new baby and a free pad and game for my new xbox (about £50 worth) just by taking something back.. I don't see why that's a negative thing on a MONEY SAVING website0 -

I would agree with you on this, of course the bonus out of it, is having a used Xbox replaced with a brand new one, which has to be a bonus, and good on you for it.
But I dont think stating the T&C of a purchase makes a negative post, its simply stating what the OP's rights are regarding the purchase. Yes you can make alternative solutions to get around it. But that doesn't make the T&C any different. Thats not being negative to the OP, its being honest.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A
