Nothing you can do. Put it this way, if you bought a TV for £679 and the day after they increased the price to £735 would you be happy to pop round and pay the extra? Of course not. You'd think that you had got a great deal.
I supposed you could return the TV, get a full refund and re-buy it at the lower price but of course that is a lot of hassle and there are no guarantees that you actually get a cheaper TV. Personally, I'd not bother. That's life.0 -

Sorry to be picky, but isn't 735 minus 679 equal to 56 and not 70? But anyway.. If you've not used the product and opened it only to "inspect" it, then you are still covered by EU distant selling regulations, and as such can reject the item within 7 days of receipt. So, return and refund. Nothing to stop you buying it again at the price at which it is now offered. Hassle it may be, but for £56 I'd do it.0 -
Some retailers do give you money back though. For example, Amazon will refund you the price difference it it drops 30 days after purchase.

This is a bit juvenile isn't it? There is something you can do, and it's been advised.0 -
Yes, there is something the OP can do - but I think the OP should simply accept the price has gone down and accept it. As I said, would the OP expect John Lewis to knock on her door and demand extra if the price had gone up? Of course not.
If the OP does take the TV back and get a refund, I sincerely hope that s/he then finds that the lower priced TV's have sold out.0 -

Um, why? Is the ethic of this site not to share money saving advice / tips? If there is an opportunity to save £56 quite legally, should it not be taken?
I think the best advice would be to buy the TV at the lower price prior to returning the first unit, so avoiding the eventually that viktory is actually hoping will happen.0 -
either refund it and buy it again, or deal with it, but dont bloody moan about it. I agree with Butlers, these posts get on my tits0
