Stolen Ebay Photos!!!!

I have had another seller who is selling the same item as I sold last week using ALL 8 or so of my photographs - taken in my dining room - cheeky begger! I have reported him to Ebay and hopefully his listing will be pulled. Does anyone know how to customise photos? I have seen them on other listing where they have their user ID typed across the photos, but I can't seem to do it to mine - any advice will be great. Thanks in advance.

what software do you have?photoshop?
TBH i often just put a printed sign on the item with my ebay username on it0 -
In which ever photo softwear you use just click insert text put in your username and then choose the size and style of font you want. I usually click on effects aswell and transparency to 50% so its not too dark then position it whever you want on your photo.0

Print out a label with your Ebay ID on it and just lay it next to the item before taking photo, thats one easy solution
If thay have copied a link to your photo's stored on a website just change the photo's to something inappropriate (I will leave that to your imagination)0 -
Many thanks for the advice. I will in future print a label in front of my photos. I want to use the current "stolen" photos again for the same item, so I will try using the insert text advice - thanks to you all.Bargain Hunter Extraordinaire!!0

Its a real pain when photos are copied, firstly why should anyone benefit from your hardwork and secondly when its obvious that they're the same photos buyers may connect you with the other seller.0

i also host my photos off ebay.if someone uses them on another listing but just use my image link(not ebay hosting)
then you can swap the image for something a little less flattering to their auction0 -
i have used other peoples photos when, i never had a digital camera, i did have a few comments from the peoples i used, saying "did you like the pic lol" and like wise people have used mine, it dont bother me as it's time saving, if you cant beat them join them, have a look at others listings before you spend hrs taking and downloading pics...0

Can't say I see the problem with it. Unless you are selling photographs.0

I don't see how you can't see the problem with it. For starters, if the person isn't taking photos of their own then it's likely they don't actually have the item they're claiming to sell and are just out to rip people off. Especially if they're stealing so many photos from the same person - how much of a coincidence is it that two people both have the exact same items for sale, but one person is just borrowing the other person's photos because they don't have a camera or are too lazy to take their own photos?!
My friend sold a job lot of random bits and pieces on eBay not so long ago. The final bid was quite a high amount (nearly £100). Then, just after the auction ended, the winning bidder contacted my friend to say that another seller had an auction up with hardly any information about what was in their 'job lot' (if they even had one!) but using exactly the same pictures. My friend was furious and contacted eBay immediately. The winning bidder refused to pay as she said she couldn't be 100% sure who the photos actually belonged to (i.e. it could have been my friend who stole the photos from the other seller). eBay didn't even remove the other listing in the end. My friend ended up losing out as by the time she's sent a second chance offer to the next highest bidder, the bidder was no longer interested. So that's what's wrong with stealing other people's photos.0 -
I have just been through that dilemma!
Two items, same photo.
I contacted both sellers, one sent me additional photos from the angles I asked for, the other seller replied to only one of my 4 questions simply stating the part number, not what I asked at all.
The difference in price is £150 between the two items. I bid, won and paid the larger amount. I just hope the other one does indeed turn out to be false or I will feel somehow ripped off!0
