FWIW I think the weekly comps should be posted on the main board, and should be posted as separate comps with separate end dates if the prizes vary from week to week.

I usually update this weekly thread every Monday: https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/5151028

But if we get rid of the weekly threads, I would be happy to post it each week on the main board, as long as I know. When will a decision be made? Or would I be able to continue updating this thread? I am a little confused?

I don't mind it the way it is just now - I quite like subscribing to weeklies, like Honeybuns, and receiving an email when the thread is updated each Tuesday.

The healthy supplies competitions did used to be posted each week.

I prefer all the comps to be posted on the main board, don't often look at the Regs board, apart from the Mag thread and Weekly/Daily ones.

That thread is on the main board.

Would it be helpful if instead of starting a new weeklies thread I went through and found any ones that were still live that weren't being posted on the main board? Then someone could pick them up and we'd make sure they weren't missed? I found a couple last night that I wasn't aware of which don't appear to have ever hit the main board

if people would like to try all of the weeklies on the main board then that would be very helpful :)

I hadn't noticed that one but if it's a weekly comp with an end date of 31/12 some people who comp by end date might not see it until a few days before the 31/12 this year, therefore missing out on a lot of comps, it needs to be posted as a new comp each week :)

The Honeybuns weekly is the same - not posted on the main board but updated weekly on the thread for subscribers. So what is the difference? Are we saying every weekly comp should be posted on the main board? I am happy to do this (Katie used to post it too) but does this mean that there is no point in updating the weekly thread because I should be posting each weeks comp on the main board? It should be either one or the other as no point in doing both.

your thread is on the main board though

basically with weekly comps it is a bit 'up in the air' if it's on tha main board it should be a new thread for each comp/week, if you want an ongoing thread you update each week then it is in the regular board
but I agree they should probably all be the same so all on the main board and a new thread for each draw :)

ETA: yes it seems that people would like them all posted new each week so there wouldn't be a need for the weekly thread :)

Any progress with any of this or decisions been made either way? As at the minute the regs board is looking like a dumping ground
