Should "Regular Competitions" become "Daily Competitions" (no more weeklies)?

    Just remove the section altogether

All the daily & weekly comps get posted on the main board anyway

Easy enough to bookmark comps you want to enter everyday or every week

But the collation needs to be put somewhere, like the mag dailies, click to wins, raffleannoyingcopter etc.

We can't have more stickies on main as that's a uniform system across mse forums.

Perhaps it could be kept just for the collation threads, with the actual comps being on main board?

If it is kept as it is and renamed, then I don't think Daily/Weekly or Recurring competitions covers the fact that ongoing comps to enter once only are also on there.

    Following the ideas posted, I have added in a couple of other possibilities;
    Recurring Competitions
Comps you can re-enter every day or every week.
    Daily & Weekly Competitions
Comps you can re-enter every day or every week.
    Daily & Weekly Competitions
Multiple Entry & Enter Early comps

I'd vote for that but without anyone taking the weekly thread on is there any point in having it or of any weekly ones being posted in the section?

Can someone explain why certain comps are posted religiously every week on the main board, yet others hide away in the regulars board and never get shown the door to the main board? For instance the Honeybuns comp, its a nice prize, easy entry, gets bumped every week by someone in the regular board but usually hits about 35 thanks each week so is hardly seen by anyone?

There were guidelines to do with if a competition was open ended (weekly thread only) or had a final date (posted afresh on the main board each week), but now it seems to be more down to if people choose to post a weekly on the main board each week as many now are - I can see no reason why they shouldn't be either, just because a competition is run every week why shouldn't it be posted as a stand alone competition if someone wants to post it that way.

The honeybuns one has been running forever on an open ended date, but has always been stuck on the regular board. When i used to maintain the weekly thread i added it to that, along with all the similar comps that were regularly posted every week on the main board, but could never get to the bottom of what the difference was. Honeybuns is just one example though, there are several like it.

I don't know how to do quotes but I vote for fire flys

    daily/weekly
    Comps you can enter daily/weekly

I do find it very useful having these separate. Not all of them are on main board and not every one is good at bookmarking etc.

Many thanks to all who post and organise the comps.

Just daily then, that keeps it really simple, ties in with the 75% who want them on the main board and solves the problem of no one volunteering to look after the weekly thread.

this definitely would be my vote. Can't see why weeklies can't go on the main board, I can see the need for dailies to be kept together.

    too many comps..not enough time!
