Nope, not even a night away :(
  • Have won an overnight stay in London for a family of 4 including a private film screening with spends and train fare included. Took my sons friend who had never been out of Wales before. I also had a pair of tickets that i won for Madame Tussauds so got another couple using the days out 2 for 1 train offer and London eye tickets too and packed it all into those 2 days along with taking them to the science museum.
Won a break to Istanbul staying at Four Seasons Bosphorus which was a fantastic experience and something we could never have done. Had to book hotel for before and after near airport as had to travel to London and there were no transfers included for when we got to Istanbul but it was so easy to get there using the airport shuttles and then a taxi to the hotel.
Have also won a pair of flights which i am using to go to Tunisia and have booked an AI hotel.
Years ago my ex won a break to Butlins through a local newspaper comp.

I feel I've been super lucky since I started entering competitions a year and a half ago. I won a 3 night trip to Berlin, staying in an amazing hotel with delicious breakfast - we took the holiday at Christmas time so got to enjoy the festive markets. Then I couldn't believe my luck when I had an email in October saying I had won I five night holiday to Chicago, including restaurant vouchers, museum/attraction passes and an architecture tour. We went in January and, although on another level of cold, we had such a fantastic time. Our flight was cancelled on the way back so we got a whole extra 24 hours to enjoy there too! I'm so grateful for everyone who posts competitions!
  • Yes, i have been to Bluestone in Wales, Florence, Italy and Orkney, Scotland.

    They were all brilliant!

The key is to take someone with you who can pay for some of the extras!
  • Nope, hoping for one this year though! I did win a night in a London hotel last year though (I live in London anyway, but it was lovely to stay somewhere away from my home still!!)

I have been blessed and won on average a hotel stays per year which have been lovely so used them for weekend aways. Also won a long weekend (4nights) to St Petersburg, Russia with Jet2 where they paid for flights, accommodation including breakfast and also the visa. So we just paid for food and also a couple of excursions.
    Wins in 2015

Kettle Chips, Cambridge Satchel Bag, Tixs to Sound Of Music UK Tour, Name on a bench, Hotel Chocolat Eggs, Cuddly Dog, Stabilo pens, Samsung Galaxy Tab S, LG G Flex 2 phone, Gramofon, Lunch Meal For Two at La Tasca, Lunch For Two at Handmade Burger Company, £30 Gourmet Burger Kitchen Voucher, Canon Ixus Camera

I don't think they will allow your parents to take the trip in your place if you win. If it is a family trip you all can take it but winner should travel in most of the cases.

Just a quick question in relation to this. I enter most of the short break comps with a thought to giving them to my parents so if this is the case would I be better off putting my mum's name when I enter them but keep all the other details as mine just in case?

    TIA
 - Just because I love this emoticon!

Not a full holiday, but £300 of hotel.com vouchers. Which was great because although I still had to pay flights and food, it got me an overseas city break I couldn't have afforded if I'd had to pay the accommodation as well.
I had the wrong date of birth down as I never put my correct details in online, but they were fine about it when I explained.
All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.
