Android all the way.
Yes, but remember that "integration" issue is Google not wanting to play nice with Microsoft.
Microsoft built the best YouTube app, yet Google denied it access to the site because they didn't like it... of course, they found some sort of licence problem or whatever, but a great example is this:
Go to outlook.com on an Android phone.
You get a nice interface, everything works like a mobile website should. It is run by Microsoft.
Go to Gmail on a Windows Phone.
You get an awful interface, with uneven text, clearly not finished. Yet go to the same site on an Android phone and you get a nice mobile website with graphics.
You do the math.
Microsoft are open to allowing people to use different services, whereas Google seem to want to force people to use their services only. Shame.0 -
Nokia LumiaThe other "biggie" of course is the initial outlay; the cost:
A cheapie Windows phone for £50 plus a tablet (i.e. Linx10) for £150 or a (cheap) laptop from - oh, £200 - and there you POTENTIALLY have a complete solution which integrates well with each product.
Android - yes, you can buy for (about) the same prices BUT the integration between devices ...... NOT so good.
(And TBH what % of laptop users actually use a Google Chrome OR Linux? The vast majority use a Windows OS.)
Compare either to Apple - and you can't buy an Apple phone alone for that outlay.
SO, if you haven't got "Apple" money .......
(Oh, and I'm not trying to compare my Vauxhall Corsa with a Beemer here.)0 -
Nothing to do with particular phones, but having used both Windows Phone and Android, I would say Windows Phone is more intuitive to use but I much prefer the range of apps for Android.0

Sony M2I had a Windows Phone for a while when they first appeared and really wanted it to succeed. The OS is really nice and the phones are really good to use, but in the end I just got completely fed up with the lack of app availability.
Some of the apps I was desperately waiting for did appear eventually, but a lot seemed to be rushed out watered down versions when compared to Apple/Android.
The advertising for Windows seems to be more focussed on being 'easy to use' which it certainly is, so if you're an average user and only need Facebook and the staple basic apps then it's a great system, but if you're techy and want to manage your life with your phone it just won't cut it.0
