However, I can understand people feeling the need to rely on a tutor because the curriculum - as taught in my son's school - does not cover what is on the test.
the AQE is based on the key stage curriculum and primary schools should have covered what is on the papers.0 -
Hi ,
I've been. Keeping any eye on forum and it's helped massively to know I'm not only one worried
To be honest been doing work over last two summers since p5 and it has helped , now it is finally coming together a little but I'm sure my daughter fed up of it all .
She really wants to do well for herself , we haven't discussed school yet , I said will talk about after as one thing at a time.
She was doing really well end p6 and over summer in 70/75 , I've been doin windmill test but now switched to transfer test ones and got 98 % last week on one .???
Great for confidence , think layout of transfer test are user friendly ,0 -

And neither has my sons school ~We are all going to hell and guess who Is driving the bus~*Norn Iron club Member 294* (Hi, we’ve had to remove part of your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE Forum Team)0 -

Thanks for the welcome! She's doing well so far (I think!). We did two tests a week during the summer hols and so far, she's done all of The Belfast Telegraph papers and is halfway through our second set of CEAs. So far she's averaging early 80s (percent) as a score.
I'm happy with this as it should be more than enough for our local grammar. There is another school further away she's considering though who's scores are higher so she would need to keep her score higher to get in there. I wish the points thing was clearer though!!! It's so hard to correlate the practice paper scores to an actual AQE score!
How are other non tutoring parents getting on?0
