Just thought I may have been able to help well listen . We got 71 % tonight after doing no work with ds because he was well moody and emotional said he would rather not be here if he was going to end up a failure that's what I've had this week so I did no work let him play and asked if he def wanted to continue and he agreed did his paper today and got 71.
This is such a hard process . We had familiarisation on sat and I looked at ds and thought what actually is this for so what if he goes to grammar and so what if he goes to secondary at least he wants to learn whatever route so I'm just going with the flow . This test is not a measure of intelligence or ability it's made me realise that these boys and girls are still only kids . Seems more real when you have your own children going through it

I totally agree. We did a test today and got 76% but I can't cope with all the silly maths mistakes!! My patience is running very thin. A totally ridiculous procedure for these children

Can anyone recall approximately what percent children in previous years getting in practice papers at this stage to attain for example an AQE score of a hundred - just to have a rough idea.
    TIA

Going by last years thread they think 78% was the 100 mark. In previous years they said it was 75%. Hope this helps.

Last year was roughly 78% but as the scores seem to be rising each year, I've been using 80% as my guide.

Did everyone get the letter from AQE today with more info on the exam and process? X

  • Looking at old threads said 2012 aqe 94 was 75 % so prob right thinking 80 % roughly
Although chatting to a parent whose daughter did burg last year her daughter was getting 70s in her papers and got 94 in her aqe and a grade b in gl

My ds been getting 70 70 and 71 the last weeks papers that we have done but seems more confident of that makes sense
  • And nothing new in the letter BOBS:D
