Looking at old threads said 2012 aqe 94 was 75 % so prob right thinking 80 % roughly
Although chatting to a parent whose daughter did burg last year her daughter was getting 70s in her papers and got 94 in her aqe and a grade b in gl

My ds been getting 70 70 and 71 the last weeks papers that we have done but seems more confident of that makes sense
I have been told that 70% is enough to get into our local grammar school which took 89 as its lowest score last year. Maybe you need higher?

Think we would need mid 90's for local grammar!
DS got 72, 73, 77 % in papers this week. Confidence definitely building and I expect on the day they probably make that extra effort.

Last year was roughly 78% but as the scores seem to be rising each year, I've been using 80% as my guide.

Did everyone get the letter from AQE today with more info on the exam and process? X

Yes i got the letter .

  • Same here Cherryscone 😕😯:(
  • It's all a bit of a roller coaster ride at the minute in our house! 91% this week and then back down to 67%. I think I'm going to have to get Rescue Remedy for myself never mind my child. However it makes me feel a bit better when some of the smartest kids in the class only get 70% at times.

Good morning! Is anyone else working their way through the CEA practice papers and finding them increasingly difficult? My DD did paper 15 this morning and only got 60% and she's a bit upset.

We've 5 of these papers left to do but I'm wondering should I stop doing these as they may damage her confidence? She's doing really well in the past aqe papers in school so don't want to upset her! Some of the questions were quite hard and she found the previous one tough too although managed to get 80 in it. Or maybe she's just having a bad day!!!

Is anyone doing the latest Belfast Telegraph tests? X

We do not do any on Saturday and Sunday as I think it really stresses my son out we will be doing the Belfast telegraph papers in the Halloween holidays to see how we go

Thanks Cherry Scone. We've been doing one on Saturday morning since May, poor DD is probably fed up of the whole thing at this stage. She's gone to the cinema with her friends for the afternoon so hopefully that will be fun and she can forget about tests for a while!

Think I'll start the Bel Tel tests next week. X
