If they cant repair it properly this time round, I'm going to be instructing for a repair to be done at a dealership bodyshop instead and return of my excess.
i have had 2 repairs at a approved main dealer repair centre and they were very poor, didn't have a choice as it was a work vehicle but just because its a main dealer does not guarantee a good quality finish0 -

Exactly, OP has missed something out of the story methinks!0 -
Exactly, OP has missed something out of the story methinks!
They removed all textured sealer and paint on sill to texture match with their own undersealer.
they painted sill blended into front door re lacquered door.
they fixed dent in rear quarter sill, and filled scratches, this took the repair area into the rear quarter panel (its a 3dr my car).
the blended the rear quarter into C pillar, and re lacquered C pillar and rear quarter.
hope this explains why such a large repair surface.0 -
.I would like to stress that I am merely providing our view of the situation and do not wish to cause any upset or enter into a debate on the matter.
So what's the point of posting? Showing your company to be as unprofessional as the OP suggests if you ask me!

It's only fair the company has a right to reply to any accusations don't you think ?0 -
no not the case , this can be anyone saying they are from "xxx"
when they contact MSE , and register correctly they can have this below there name , to prove they are genuine
"Official Company Representative
I am the official company representative of XXX. MSE has given permission for me to post in response to queries about the company, so that I can help solve issues. You can see my name on the companies with permission to post list. I am not allowed to tout for business at all. If you believe I am please report it to forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com This does NOT imply any form of approval of my company or its products by MSE"

Of course but the MSE rules are that if a company wants an official representative to post they must be registered as such, this could be any Tom, !!!!!!(seems like it) or Harry posting what they want.0 -

HMMM interesting. If you are who you say you are, you'll quickly realize why Newport has been dealing with someone other than me because I do not have the patience to deal with you at the moment... unhappy is not the word!
Out of the list you pick some very minor issues.
Granted the courtesy cars cosmetically are damaged but sound to drive, If I wanted to drive around in a damaged vehicle I would have simply kept my car the way it was. Plus not a great advertising tool.
The second one I had did have a fault. Ive been a mechanic for many years I know when a clutch is faulty.
Out of the list defects with my car I found upon first return of it, and again on second delivery of it, Do you honestly think that I have confidence in your ability to restore my car back the way it was like your being paid to do!.
You polished some of the surface scratches yes granted but failed at many other defects within the finish and base coat and presented these defects to me when you boast a final stage quality control and now a third time you need the insurance assessor to look over the work to judge my car as upto standard!. I'll be the judge of your quality of work and regardless of what the assessor see's and says I WILL BE THE ONE TO ACCEPT IT OR REJECT IT not him or her.
You Will NOT get another opportunity to make good on your repair and I will get the insurance assessor to come to my property so I can tell him what I'm not happy about IF it gets to me in a unsatisfactory condition.
I suggest you make use of the lovely weather outside in Newport to make sure my car is free from defects in the base coat and clear coat looking at it from various angles in the sun metallic red is not the easiest of paints to find faults with but yet I highlighted so many! I have a very very keen eye for these things and I WILL spot unsatisfactory defects such as runs, fish eye, and scratches and buffing hologram scratches and defects such as un sanded unshaped filler!0
