Yay for the thousand £ mark. I love being able to tick off a new house block on the fridge. I will be doing that at the beginning of next month
I noticed the Tesco CC was changing. They are just getting stingy now. Stupid Tesco's. And booooo to Santander for hiking up the 123 account fee. I still make more than £5 in cashback each month, so will be staying with them but I'm not happy.Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0 -
Lippy - do you have your mortgage with Santander? For the 123 account after the price hike we'd break even. Not sure yet what a normal CC month would give us, so i'm leaving out of principle. In relation to shifting the current account it get is £100 of coop and £15 off quidco, so i'm happy enough with that!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0

No mortgage is with Nationwide. I usually make about £7-8 in cashback with my other bills so most of it will get eaten up by Santander's fee. But I still get £40 in interest from the account so will stick with it. I have too many current accounts at the moment, otherwise I would think about opening new ones and split my £20k between them. Most only give interest up to £5k though so would be looking at another 4!Total Mortgage OP £61,000Outstanding Mortgage £27,971Emergency Fund £62,100I AM NOW MORTGAGE NEUTRAL!!!! <<Sep-20>>0

Well Mrs SJ had a good morning present wise. She has a large family to sort but boxed half off, with a couple of ideas to mull over. So money transfers needed from Christmas fund to CC, but i'll do that tomorrow when i look at a few other money things (house insurance needs sorting and am determined to get some cachback!).
It feels good to be back on the TT front, and i may have a little peek at our budgets tomorrow as i've not looked at those for a few months and we do seem to be under budget each week now on food shop - the joys of Aldi!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Glad you were already aware of the imminent changes. I'm thinking about getting rid of the Tesco CC as I very rarely shop there now. I got it originally for the 18 months 0% so that I could do a bit of stoozing, plus the clubcard points came in handy too.'A watched potato will never chit'...0 -
Very quick post. £1 TT's this morning. 28 ebay items listed this afternoon (got about 35 left facing me tomorrow). 3 of the 4 items listed yesterday have sold for a £22 profit. So that will go towards DS1's birthday in January.
Signing off, will be back in the morning!MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -
