  • Thanks gang. Lucky i'll use your psychological tool in December when i do the bi-annual sit down wife and show her all our accounts, spreadsheets, policies etc... That may be a good tool when she rolls her eyes and calls me a nerd (again)!

I cleared up my Santander account this morning and transferred £9.94 made up of cashback and a slightly reduced bill due to moving a DD forward by 2 days. I've moved this to the TT account and am mentally viewing this as the TT's i've not been able to transfer for the last 2 weeks. SO im quite pleased with that and it should get me through the next 3 sleeps before i can start again!!

If you remember back a few days i said id be a few pounds short of eradicating the 127k's? Well with this £9.94 i may now clear it by £3-4!! Exciting!

  • Just 1 more sleep to go and i'll be back on the TT front and feel like i'm moving forward again. Its amazing that the difference in spending on the month that i was away was £250 more!

Finally started the Santander switch to Coop. I tried it last Friday afternoon but couldn't start the process as i didn't have the debit card to hand. I then forgot over the weekend, DS2 has been rotten ill so we both spent Mon and Tues dashing about between work and having time off each. We then had a nursery parents evening type thing and a stay and learn session in school with DS1 to throw in! Anyway i then remembered yesterday that i needed to phone Coop back, which is a good job i did as the switch that i started on Friday needed to be complete by yesterday otherwise it would fail! So after a bit of waffle it will be done by 26th.

That will leave the cashback CC card which i'll use up until Christmas for the added shopping then its closing, and we'll revert to Tesco for the points again (hindsight's a wonderful thing and i now wish i hadn't bothered with Santander - live and learn!).

  • Yay! (I do wonder sometimes when I get so excited to OP any amount, even <= 10p. It's normal, though, right? Must be, since we all do it. :D)
  • We are a strange tribe that's for sure! When i logged onto banking this morning i was praying it wasn't a measly 1p!

Hi, not sure if you're aware that Tesco are changing how many clubcard points you get using your CC from 1st December. IIRC they give the same points as before if you shop in Tesco using your CC, but have reduced them if you use your Tesco CC elsewhere.

  • Pink - I was aware which was part of the reason we shifted to Santander. Then 2 months later they upped all their fees. I am in a quandary about the CC card for 2016. We always pay off in full and only use it to get 'rewards'. Research, thinking and decisions are needed!!
