So, here I am....after another hiatus (I do seem to go through phases with these breaks).
In all honesty we went through a rough few months with our pooch in Jan, Feb & Mar and we both lost a lot of mojo for anything. In summary we were told that there was nothing we could do other than keep him comfortable and he'd be gone within 3 months. And then a few days later we got a follow up phone call from the vet with a new plan (she'd gone off investigating something else). So off we trotted 140miles for some more scans which confirmed that 5 bouts of radiation over 7 days and he should be fine! So whirlwind of emotions. Treatment worked, though he was quite poorly for 3-4 weeks, and now you would never have known. We have our fantastic pooch back to normal!
I'm just now getting my head around our finances again (as much as everyone is able to with the constant price rises), and now have some clear headspace to start plotting again.
All in all I think that I probably need a complete diary reset at this point so will definitely be back this weekend with a post about our current financial position and identify some goals for the next 18months or so. I suppose my first job will be to sort out my signature.

Good grief, Jimmy! Very sorry to hear what you've been through with your beloved dog, but equally happy to hear he's genuinely on the mend, that's wonderful! Looking forward to the plotting, yes, but I'm glad you've been kind to yourself and taken the time you need.2023: the year I get to buy a car5

Lovely to hear your pooch is back to being well - vets can do amazing stuff these days. And it sounds like you have an excellent one too, clearly keeping you and pooch in mind after consultation.
Looking forward to your plotting…Mortgage free 16/06/2023! £132,500 cleared in 11 years, 3 months and 7 days

Hooray, one of my favourite diaries! Welcome back and how marvellous that the vet went off and investigated (they are of course, members of our families and much loved). Looking forward to reading more.Save £12k in 2025 #2 I am at £4863.32 out of £6000 after May (81.05%)
