Thank you gally. The bigger bigger picture is the really tough aspect as its so far away, at times it seems in a different universe!

Good to see you tryharder. The shopping has been a major budgeting thing for us over the years. I'm not too sure how sustainable 2 shops a month is with a family of 5 so it'll be work in progress and lets see how it pans out. So far its working fine so fingers crossed.

Made a small 39p TT this morning. I'm 3 days from payday, there's nothing left to spend on and we have £50 in the bank so a successful budgeting month all round. I do have some sizeable expenses coming in on Friday and that may account for the parking fine!

2nd run is scheduled today and it will be at lunchtime during work. I'm going to up distance slightly but will nudge the pace down a touch to account for it. The aim of this week is just get out 4 times and get me into a rhythm, and then my 500 mile goal before year end will begin on June 1st... Oh, i bought some running socks!!

26p TT this morning. Payday is Friday and there is £4 left in the current account... Am struggling to find too much time at the minute so catching up with other diaries is tricky. Last night for example it was in from work at 5.20pm, straight to football with DS2, then off to nieces mini birthday party. Home for 9.05, then straight out for a run. So I actually sat down at 9.50pm! Quick shower and i was asleep by 10.15!

I have today in work, off tomorrow, then a 2/3 type day on Friday. After that i'm off for 10days! And importantly no outside gruelling jobs to do.... woo hoo!

Like the idea of the mileage challenge for the rest of the year, may consider something similar.

Re running watches, I can recommend Tomtom, I got the Spark 2 and really like it. Had a strap break within the first year and they replaced it FOC as well, second strap is much more robust.

Sounds like a well earned break is on its way!

Kate - are you a runner then?? Thank you for the watch recommendation i will have a look. My intention was to get a garmin as i also have a garmin golf watch so considering sticking with what i know.

Love your mileage challenge Jimmy :). It's a great time of year to be running. Got out this morning when it was nice and cool. Endless blue sky - gorgeous start to the day. I should do it more often as I seem to achieve so much more when I have an energetic start to the day. Remind me of that in January when the rain is lashing down and I'm in bed with the duvet over my head:rotfl:

Definitely can't class myself as a runner, more of a slow plodder! Did C25K last year and was surprised to find I actually enjoy it but find motivating myself to get out can be difficult so a mileage challenge might help.

I prefer to run in the mornings - pinkypig, I agree with you about the energetic start to the day setting you up - but I find it difficult to shift myself out of bed earlier!

Dentist safely negotiated...my teeth can stay in for at least 1 more year...!

Now sat in garden. 1st pild of washing on line, 2nd in machine. No jobs to do, can just sit and breathe out!!

Will fit run number 3 in later. Going to nudge distance out again by another half, or full mile. That' ll take distance to 5mile and thankfullh no pain the next day. Just hoping for some cloud cover for 40mins at about 6.30!!

    Payday...hurrah :j A few shuffles done and a TT of £1.02.

I made my run yesterday but the cloud cover was not there. So 22 degrees. I thought its not too bad its 6pm one side of the road/path will be in shade... How wrong i was! And seemingly the sun was at that horrible height where its constantly in your eyes every time i ran up hill! I reckon i enjoyed 70% of it, but the other 30% was agony!

Last day of work today and i'll finish mid afternoon. It'll be a tidying up admin type of day so not to busy either! I may even have the cricket on it the background.

In MB news after a significant lull in reload offers since mid Jan i seem to have had a mini run of offers. £50 Freebet for FA cup, £50 freebet for Champions League, and then a variety of Freebets that add up to a further £60. I've also got a deposit bonus of £100 & £30 to use. SO all these should get me about £150 profit, which is much needed with our away weekend for my 40th.

Hurray for the reloads, Jimmy - but ouch for the sun in your eyes! Sunglasses aren't only about looking cool, they're also bleeping useful :)
