It's a tough decision to make! We didn't find out with DD, and she was living in neutral clothes for months :) Hope the nursery viewing went ok.

Nursery visit was amazing. DS2 is gonna love it! And Mrs SJ was distracted from tears by a succession of old friends who little un's are starting in September too, so all good.

DS1 is just about to finish year 1 and he still asks if he can go back to nursery! He'll be devastated when he realizes DS2 is going for real!

So the weekend off to a good start. Big dog walk this morning and pooch is now flaked out whilst i eat a lovely muffin with a cup of tea! Unfortunately i'm working for a few hours this afternoon so i'll miss the nice weather, and then i'm determined to get those last 2 doors glossed in our bedroom tonight!

If i can get that done i can have a nice afternoon of golf tomorrow!

Mrs SJ has gone on food shop, but our cupboards are quite full (we don't seem to have eaten anything other than yogurts and cereal with the weather this week so it wont be big and we should be under budget. Any under-spends will be directed towards paint for the living room and kitchen which are July & August jobs.

After that its just the nursery to do next, but i'm waiting till Sept or Nov for that (I'm away with work for the month of Oct).

In spreadsheet news. If we continue to have the same months reduction as the last 2, which are very achievable, we'll be MF by 2026 which is the overall goal. But we'll be approx £17k short of the 120 payment ambition. I've made a few assumptions on this around mortgage rates, but then countered this with assuming no pay increases or windfalls. Or the extra bits from non council tax payment months etc...

But that's too far ahead anyway, so for now in our 2 year blocks we should be at £111k at the end of this current 2yr fix, for a £25k reduction.

    Back soon...

Which is all well and good - but when does interest drop below £7 a day :D.

Gally and debtfree - my banks conspiracy is not to have an online function for the mortgage, so we don't get to see progress! In a way that's better though as this 'feeds' my addiction to 'the spreadsheet'.

We do have a text alert however, so i set it to text me every Sunday morning and it includes all the months happenings. From this i aim to make at least 1 payment per week. So tilly tidies become the order of the day, which reminds me i'm off to tilly tidy!

    Edit - £3.24 overpaid!
