  • Hope work goes well for you.

24 days is a long time to be away. our little GD (3 3/4 yrs) barely noticed her mum was on holiday last month. Her mum has gone to NYC with work today as is excited for her sleepovers.... admittedly only 5 days. Hurrah for whats app and facetime.

Best wishes to your and mrs SJ ;)

So close to the 5 figures, that's wonderful!
  • Well 24 days away... then a mad 10 days in work when i came back, i'm just now breathing out again!

Taking a rare opportunity of a lull in work as our server is currently down, and this post is the notice that i'm back and raring to go for that sub £100k push in 7 weeks

I have updated my spreadsheet for October, and fortunately there isn't too much damage from me not being here. I'll publish October accounts tonight and then update the mortgage free groups.

Hope everyone is all sorted for Christmas ;) I'm certain Mrs SJ has got it all covered :D

Well the months are rattling past... a little late but here's Octobers accounts. A little down on what i'd hoped for but as i was away for 3 weeks and with little control we've done well.

    Monthly Figures
    • Total Op's - £528.35
    • Net Reduction - £1,006.90
    • Closing Balance - £101,729.00
    • Daily Interest - £4.57 (5p reduction)
    • LTV - 46.03%
    • % Loan Remaining - 74.80%

    Diary Totals
    • Average OP's - £591.18
    • Average Net Reduction - £1,070.97
    • Cumulative OP's - £18,917.68
    • Diary Net Reduction - £34,271.00

** I've updated the challenges i am in and am little bit disappointed that i'm behind on the MFi3 challenge. Am in yellow with a shortfall of £675, so i have a task on now to find a way to make that up over the next 6 months!

  • Well up and at it today, fresh with the enthusiasm of a day off work! 2 piles of washing done, kids all prepped for school run!

Quick check of accounts which don't look too clever but thankfully its payday tomorrow for Mrs SJ, which means we'll inch closer to the magical £99,999k Christmas target.... So exciting!

Great figures there SJ. How are you plotting to make up your shortfall?
We have a small shortfall to our stretch OP target for year end so I’m scouting out things we can sell on eBay/fb in the run up to Christmas but looking for more inspiration :D
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!
  • I have to admit i have no plan for the shortfall just yet! Our 3 yr challenge of £41k overall reduction was a massive stretch anyway and having to find an extra £5k from somewhere. So in the grand scheme of it we are actually about £1,800 on the way to the extra £5k!
