Hiya shangaijimmy
Sorry not to comment for a while - broke my arm on 13th December 2016 and only just able to type fluently! However have been lurking on your thread. Just wanted to say how fantastically well you've done - cutting several years and about 60K off the mortgage! Awesome! Well done!
Great month this month as you ve gone over target! :j
Had a financial set back myself as not only broke arm but my tenant (main source of income) left in December as well!) New tenant started (after a load of expensive work done to house - last tenant a nightmare but no money so not worth chasing in the courts) this month! Phew! But now need to get back on the money saving waggon as need to make up the shortfall in monies!
You ve been an inspiration to me so back to see what is happening soon!Aim for Sept 17: 20/30 days to be NSDs  NSDs July 23/31 (aim 22) :j
NSDs 2015:185/330 (allowing for hols etc)
LBM: started Jan 2012 - still learning!

:T I was hoping you would work out a cunning plan to squeeze it to meet the end of the year!0 -
Busy - thanks for stopping by.
Lyn - thank you for popping in with such kind comments. I'm glad my ramblings are enjoyed!
ETE - being a MFW makes us come up with cunning plans all the time, and as much as we know we're making great progress none of us ever seem happy to accept that progress. Its never enough!!
July is off and running...I TT'd a whole £1 this morning as the account was already tidy, and then OP'd the TT pot for the last week which tidily sat at £4 exactly. 6 ebay items have bids so far which means at least £10.50 earnings.
Well Sunday morning sausages beckon before work. Have a great Sunday everyone.MFW: Was: £136,000.......Now: £47,736.58......0 -

Brilliant comeback.
Do you find you transfer to the mortgage before getting tempted to spend the money on other things? At the moment we are quite motivated because we need to pay the 0% debt we took on to complete our bathroom renovation a little earlier than first planned but I know when that is clear and we have money to put towards the mortgage, I know we won't be quite so motivated. Clearing our mortgage seems a difficult task, to be honest.
You're not the only one wondering where the first half of the year went. :rotfl:2018 totals:
Savings £11,200
Mortgage Overpayments £5,5000
