After speaking to them again today which was a waste of time nobody knows why and who did the Bacs? They are not sure how I am suppose to pay it back and need to wait for someone to call me!
That's the last time I call, it's in my instant access ISA and staying until "They decide" when they want their money back? What a crazy situation .0 -

Dunno why you're bothering wasting your time. Their error - its up to them to attempt to correct it.0 -

Why shouldn't they sell it at a profit? They are a business and not a charitable organisation.0

Because nowadays those seeking to make a profit from a consumer are bad bad people whom the public need protection from0

Not exactly the same but.....
Approx 12 years ago we had a new double glazed front door, top panel and side panel fitted by a well established local company. Most bl@@dy expensive door my wife could find I think. It was all leaded glass and looks fantastic as it should have done for £2500 ish at the time.
When fitters were leaving I asked about the bill and they said it would be sent on. Fine I thought.
The weeks went by but no bill until I decided to ring and ask them for it. Apologies were passed on and they promised to send it out straight away.
A couple of weeks later still no bill so rung again and the same thing happened.
Anyway, never got a bill so never paid and nothing has ever been said.
Even had them out to fix a hinge a few years ago and nothing was said.
£2500 better off. I did my bit and just stuck it in a savings account and forgot about it.
