most of the time my kids couldnt care less when i leave them, from the very first day at nursery sassy just disappeared off, holding her hand up over her shoulder as a bye and that was it. even when weve been out shopping and she is messing around so i walk off and 'hide' saying bye has no effect what so ever! she just looks at me and carries on what shes doing, slowly meandering on behind me after a while! both are fiercely independent.

I must ber a strange parent then . I had 3 kids but never found it tough leaving them for a few hours and my eldest was in nursery from 16 weeks old ( less maternity leave then)

Oh well 2 eldest grown into fairly sensible self sufficent adults and the "baby" is looking forward to secondary school- not clingy or afraid

I must be weird too then:) I've only got one but as long as I know I'm leaving her some where safe and secure where she'll be happy (I.e. School, my parents house) then I don't understand the problem of leaving them?
She's 11 now and even when she's in hospital she's absolutely fine with me leaving to grab some sleep, she's very independent, though still loves a cuddle.

    Definitely the parents issue!!
The trouble with the world is that the stupid are cocksure and the intelligent are full of doubt.
