Can I use clarity card to get Euro's in UK

I think some confusion is because Nat West is a £ bank and these bishopsgate atm transactions are going thru a Ulster euro bank, and like some banks in europe they dont make any charges when dispensing notes of their country...could this explain it?
because to Ulster Bank this is NOT a foreign currency.Political?....I dont do Political....well,not much!0 -

Yes, it's essentially an Ulster Bank ATM from the Republic of Ireland that's been lifted and plonked outside a Natwest branch in London. It's a weird anomaly and I'm not aware of any others like it in the UK, from any bank.
Has anyone actually used it recently to confirm it's still there?Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

There used to be a Citibank Euro ATM somewhere as well - I don't know if it still is.I think some confusion is because Nat West is a £ bank and these bishopsgate atm transactions are going thru a Ulster euro bank, and like some banks in europe they dont make any charges when dispensing notes of their country...could this explain it?

This specific ATM withdraws Euros from your account - that is it. It doesn't charge you anything, it doesn't do any converting. Completely ignore the brand on the front and which currency it gives you.
Whoever you bank with is responsible for deciding what fees to put on the transaction, and Halifax put none on the Clarity card.0 -

There's one in Canary Wharf - but like all Euro ATMs I've seen in the UK except the Bishopsgate one, it converts the transaction to GBP at a bad rate (unless you have a Citibank EUR account, I think).Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Ah yeah I do vaguely remember it only really being good for Citibank Euro account holders.
And a quick search said that this Ulster ATM no longer exists - though I can't say for certain.0 -
I was lead up the garden path by poor info (read on this thread)..........This is NOT a Nat West atm in bishopsgate. It is a Ulster Bank atm,and as Ulster Bank's currency is euros it acts like a "foriegn bank that has the euro as its base currency
You're not fooling anyone - you pretended you understood something you didn't and were called out for it.
There is no reason whatsoever why Natwest couldn't have an ATM doing exactly the same thing with exactly the same charges.0 -
It is/was outside a Natwest branch with Natwest branding. I intended to help anyone actually trying to find it; I wasn't expecting to get into an argument about it.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks

Ulster Bank has Sterling as its base currency. In RI it uses Euro.In Ulster it uses £s0
