I'm struggling to walk at the moment and I'm reliant on public transport0
-
That won't be enough to get a home visit.
If your only problem is walking, you won't get ESA.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

How do I get there then, float?0

eh?
You have to provide evidence which states why you won't be able to get to an assessment centre. Your sick note saying you can't walk won't be enough.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

The bloody system sucks, if you can't walk, how do you get from bus stop to the assessment and back again? These shirkers who con the system and get signed off for years and get paid a fortune in benefits never seem to have a problem fooling them, yet the genuinely sick have to fight like crazy to get anywhere.0

Surely, you can mobilise by using aids such as a wheelchair, crutches, etc? If you can't, then you may get ESA.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

So nobody can claim ESA if they can walk?0
-
I''m not saying that. I am for the most part, perfectly capable of walking; but claim ESA due to other disabilities.
If you're able to mobilise in a safe and reliable manner and have no other disability, you won't get ESA.Sealed pot challenge #232. Gold stars from Sue-UU - :staradmin :staradmin £75.29 banked

You have to be disabled to get ESA0

there are many reasons to get ESA.
i can walk forever and use the gym 3 times a week .... but i am also blind.
i can't get myself to an assessment centre on my own, but that doesn't mean i would gey a home visit.
you could take a taxi to the assessment centre if oublic transport isn't an option.
if a taxi is the only way you could attend ( not the same as the way you CHOOSE to attend .... you would need a note from your doctor saying it is impossible/would be harmful for you to use public transport) they may refund the cost as long as you get a receipt.
how do you manage to get to the doctors? or to do your shopping etc?0
