  • Hi all. Thick cloud here today  looks as though the forecast was wrong for this area after all.

However yesterday was so lovely I was able to get all my towels and laundry washed, dried, aired, and ironed and put away all in one day. I love it when I can do that :T means that the washing machine and I can have a day off today.

Quiet day planned, just catching up with stuff, clearing round, tidying up, that sort of thing. Very boring, I know.

Hugs to those who need them, especially kyle's lo, poor little chap. Hope he didn't sleep too badly.

    Have a great day everyone.

    Good morning everyone,

    Welcome patwa.

Anniebooklover - DD and i really enjoyed Evan Almighty - not as good as Bruce Almighty, but still good, and you dont need to have seen the first one to enjoy the second. I took ages before i won anything with the comps, and even now, i only seem to win small things, but still worth doing as i get so excited, even when i win something as silly as a cable grip!!!!

kyle - big hugs to you and LO, hope his arm isnt giving him as many problems as last time xxx

Hilstep - well done to your DD, lets hope the rain continues for the big day!!!!

Well, i was going to bed for an early night last night, when i made the mistake of clicking onto the news and seeing the dreadful news about the foot and mouth. Anyone who has lived near a farming community 6 years ago will prob still remember it like i do - it was horrible and i so hope that they have contained it in time.

Nothing at all planned for this weekend, other than DD and i will be attempting to make doughnuts later this afternoon - im quite looking forward to that as i love doughnuts!!! (not good for my diet tho!)

Well, HUGS to all who wants/needs one, hope everyone has a lovely day,
    Take care xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

    Hi everyone!
Haven't been in the last week or so as we're gearing up for the annual audit at work at the moment and I'm cream crackered!!
Am at work at the moment waiting for the troops to arrive. Hopefully shouldn't be too bad a session as I've only got 4 in. If you want to get a free book for 5-9 year olds go to www.wheredidtherivergo.co.uk. I've just got one for my niece.
Plans for today are a quick nose around the charity shops to see if there any additions I can make to the gift box and perhaps any new threads for me:D .
We have friends coming over for supper tonight and I'm going to try out some Saxon recipes from a book I've got. OH has already done pears in a mulled wine type sauce which we'll serve cold and I'll prep some cream with vanilla and orange and then we're doing a sausage casserole with cinnamon and cardomon. I also need to make some bread which I do with thyme and onion. Should keep me out of mischief.
    Enjoy the sunshine everyone!

    Morning all!

Mioliere I would be one of those people who doesn't email back a thank you until I've received an item. I sell a lot on Ebay and, like you, I email to say when I'll be posting, I email to say I've posted. Although it's nice that people email back, actually...I only want to hear when they've got it. Otherwise my inbox gets clogged up with stuff. If Iwas only selling a few items I think I would appreciate an inbetween thank you a bit more.

Anogther beautiful sunny day here. DH wants to get on and finishe the wall, but we promised to go to DS1's to hang some pictures ("paintings" they said, so not quite sure what to expect) for them.

    Nothing else planned.

Need to pop to farm shop to get veggies for dinner. Dinner tonight is meant to be gamebird pie or casserole, but I wonder if its a bit hot for it really. Oh well, we'll see.

Well, better go, would like to make a coffee before we go.

<Hugs> to anyone who would like one.

  • Morning all,

Well Ive been up for a few hours as my new phone is meant to be delivered this morn, but no sign of it yet

Wanted to have a bbq and put out my new garden furniture (that I got in the 75% sale in tesco) this afternoon, but looks like its gonna be a dull rainy day down here.

Off to the cinema tonight to what Harry potter with the OH. Booked tickets for the licensed screen, which is the special screen in our cinema, where you can eat a meal and have alcholic drinks, whilst sitting in big leather sofas to watch the movie, costs a bit more then normal cinema tickets, but well worth it.

Anyways best be off, gonna go have a shower and make some soup this morn.

    Bye for now xxxxx

    Morning everyone,

my lie in was ruined when my mum called at 9.15am to tell me she's bought a new car. She said she thought I'd be up cooking (ha ha ha). I reminder her I'm a lazy sod sometimes.

I joined the library yesterday. Not had a library card since I was about 8. It's great. I picked up 2 James Patterson books, one I'm 2/3 through already and a Karin Slaugher too. Was shocked on my way out of the library. The cleaners were hoovering, tidying up and one of them picked up 2 pieces of rubbish in the foyer that must have blown in the door, she THREW THEM BACK INTO THE STREET   Really should complain next time I'm in.

Today will be a lazy day. Dropping OH in town for the football and have the week Eastenders to catch up on. Have some washing early already, but don't plan on doing too much today.

Hope everyone has a great day and for those where it's cloudy, hope the sun peeps out soon.
Love MSE, Las Vegas and chocolate!

    Morning All,

Grey here too - and yes I did notice the mornings and evenings are already drawing in! Planning for X*** already.

Mioliere - I know what you mean. I've only had one person reply to an amazon email - ooh I lie, I got another one yesterday. That's in something like 2 years! Whatever happened to manners? Don't know about you but I've found both Amazon and greenmetropolis.com sales have slowed down. I don't think people are reading much these days :( Do you get as fed up as I do of the USA companies undercutting prices? AND postage costs are now so high it's almost not worth doing it :( RANT over :)

Had a nice day yesterday meeting up with my friend but had an awful headache, nausious stomach most of the day. We went to go sit at the river at Woodstock - they have some nice wood walkways over a nice wildlife area. Couldn't though - water was flooded! Found one tiny spot and sat there in dappled shade. Quite nice. Peaceful mood ruined by traffic jam on the way home!

Got home and rustled up my usual quickest meal - Thai chicken curry. BUT I used some different canned green lentils to bulk it out and it turns out they're in stock and were SO salty. Even OH didn't want seconds! What a pain - I shall have to look for another source of green lentils.

Bailey-cat wanted out 4 times last night! Eyes so sleepy. I think he was pleased with himself - we found a dead mouse on the lawn this morning.

Apparently our water is now safe to drink if it's boiled but it really stinks of chlorine. OH ran our bath this morning and knew I wouldn't be able to stay in it. My skin is SOO itchy now. I don't fancy putting on moisturiser because the chemicals seem to mix and put out a foul smell.

Plans - go to cheap shop for cheap shoes for OH. Try to avoid Mr T but think we need some fresh veg. Get on top of tidying up and cleaning house again.

Oh - blethered on again.... Hope you all have a good day!
