Morning Amie and all who follow

Not up as early as it seems as it is an hour later here. After a week of 8-10 hours of sleep a night, today I obviously have caught up and not feeling tired, probably catch up with a siesta later - :j

Thanks for the tip re Boots, though we don't have a local one here, and won't be much saving if I hop on a plane back :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Nothing much to report, just lazing and reading - I decided to start HP again as I had not read him for so long, and brought the 1st 3 out with me, they were finished by Tuesday - obviously should have brought more, but will take the rest to France. Being good with watching what I am eating/drinking and it does seem to be having some impact (small but it all helps) also building up the lengths in the pool so that could be helping too. It is true though that you are not as hungry if you are hot.

Trying to have a quick scan read (v hard on dial up), so (((((hugs)))) as needed/wanted, birthday/aniversary congratulations as applicable.

Enjoy your BBQ Amie, and I hope the sun keeps shining for you all.
    Take care

Good morning Amie, Donny-gal and all who follow,

Was woken up at 4.45 by a helicopter that seemed to be doing nothing except going round in very loud circles. It wasn't following anything as there was no searchlight on so have no idea why it should be flying in circles for half an hour.

I have spent the time entering lots of competitions on the comp board - I never seem to win anything but its worth a try.

DS and DD came home last night. They had a fabulous time but they were glad to be home too. We are going to see Evan Almighty today (though I'm wishing I hadn't mentioned it as I haven't read one good review about the film). While we are down at the docks, I'm going to see if I can buy the lino that I saw earlier in the week as XDH has said he will pick it up for me. Another £25 saved. :j

Thanks for the Boots info Amie. Think I will pop into town this morning and see if I can snag any bargains though I don't have many Christmas pressies left to buy. ;)

It's my parents' 51st anniversary today. Can't believe that it is a year ago since we had a great big party to celebrate their golden wedding. Where has the year gone?

Going to go back to bed now and see if I can catch some Zzzzs. Have a super Saturday all, whatever you are doing. (((hugs))) to all who need/want one. They are BOGOF today - so feel free to treat yourself. xx

Morning AMIE and DONNYGAL! Thanks for the info re Boots, AMIE!

I sold another book on Amazon last night - it's been really slow lately after I had such a good start to it all. Still, every penny counts! I do think people are rude, though - as soon as Amazon email to tell me a book has sold, I email the customer to let them know when I will be posting it, then I email again to let them know it's been posted and to thank them for buying but, in all the books I've sold, not one buyer has bothered to email any acknowledgement or thanks - I don't know if it's me expecting too much, but it doesn't cost anything to email, does it? I always say thank you! Rant over!

The weather looks promising here at the moment. I need to get out early to do some shopping and visit the gym because DS2 will be coming round about mid-morning; he was meant to come round yesterday after work but got distracted by the gardening! DS1 and family should be back from their farm holiday in Wales - the've had a brilliant time and lovely weather so I'm sure DGS and DGD will have lots to tell me!

I am planning a busy morning and a lazy afternoon - probably knitting and reading- in the garden, if it's really nice weather!

Well, off for another cuppa. See you all later and (((hugs))) to all who need them!

    Hello everybody,

Looked like rain this morning as it was a bit bleak and overcast. Fined up by lunch though and blue skies & white fluffy clouds abound now. I've been doing a bit of sewing today. Just catching up on mending and taking up hems on curtains today. XDIL called and she is bringing DGS down on Friday :j for 2 weeks.

Spinach quiche for tea which I'll sort out shortly. Hope you all have a happy Saturday. Byeeeeeeee

    Amie Enjoy your bbq.
Annie Hope you get back to sleep. I kept waking up last night from the bats. We seem to have a noisy colony over here atm.
moilere Well done on your book sales. :T
Donny-gal Your day sounds perfect. I've just ordered some library books so can't wait until they are in and can sink my teeth into them. :D

Not posted for a while but I have been keeping up with you all.
Slept badly again but think I know the reason today, my throat is SO sore, just drinking some nice warm squash to try and easy the pain.

Well OS plans for today are:
cut grass, finish ironing, pack for time away with work, get Augusts cards and prezies sorted, visit tip, tidy study/kitchen & bedroom, swipe bathroom, buy paint for bedroom, visit Mr T's and Boots, book parking for airport, shred & sort paperwork, get pack up ready for sunday and then .............. finish HP with the rest of the wine in the fridge hopefully outside in the sun :D

Well will report back later on how I get on, ((((((hugs))))) - take them or leave them, could do with them myself today for my throat

Have fun and I hope that the sun shines

No - I told you Amie if I started singing, Spain would empty fast! Went to one of the local restaurants on Thursday night, they had a guy on who played the guitar and sang, easy listening 60's/70's numbers very enjoyable as you could have a dance too. Age is no barrier out here there was one lady who lives here all the time (Polish I think I was told she was) there aged 93 and she got up and had a dance too! Think we may brave the Irish Bar tonight, live acts on every night. The Beatles take off group (who are totally Spanish) sound brilliant and as English as can be when singing, but hardly know a word when talking:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

    Morning All

Beautiful and sunny here and the forcast for the whole weekend is great.

Have got a lovely day today and tomorrow - washing and ironing this morning (that isnt the lovely bit!) then after lunch will be dropping off children and dog at inlaws going to station and heading for London. Once we get there will find our hotel in covent garden dump our bag, find somewhere nice and not too expensive for dinner then go and watch Dirty Dancing. Tomorrow after a lie in will find somewhere for breakfast, mooch around the shops then head for home. Have promised children wont be too late picking them up as they want to go in the pool which is now set up and looking at the temperature on Sunday they will need to go in the pool.

So gonna finish my coffee whilst having a surf then will start getting on.

    Have a great weekend.
