Crap beer. Come on, its 2015. Do you really expect that your clientele will be happy with the unholy triumvirate of Carling/carlsberg/Guinness? (Actually, they probably will be as the average UK gent knows about beer as much as he does about cunnilingus.)

I'll admit that I don't know too much about beer but I know a fair bit about Irish airlines and Cunnilingus are vastly superior to Ryanair.

You finish your food. They collect your plates and empty glasses.....ask do you want tea coffee another drink.. no..... then dont bring you your bill???? Why the fudge would I be sitting here 10 mins later with no food or drink and need to ask you for the bill? Really? Why?

Then sometimes when you finally do ask they say, oh just pay at the bar. Could you not have told me that when you collected the plates?

I once waited 25 mins for the bill - after asking- my god was it really that complicated to work out? I had sent the wife out to the car so i could write my name and address on a napkin for them to post it to me.

Agggghh!!!!! Sorry but this is the vent forum

When they ask if you want to look at the desserts menu, say no thanks but can I have the bill please.

It's simple but worked every time in both chains and independent restaurants

A follow-on from my gripe about having to wait for condiments .......

Being given a small bowl containing 2 thimblefuls of ketchup when there are half a dozen people with chips sat at the table.

Oh my god so much this. Always seems to be at really pretentious eateries, and especially those where the waiter calls you 'guys.' We tried one such place which was an 'artisan burger joint.' I asked for mayo, as I always have mayo with my chips. They literally gave me a teaspoon's worth. I used it on about three chips and asked for more. Waiter made a face and a comment about having to charge if I kept asking!!!

Yeah, really don't agree with this. Don't expect the waiting staff to read your mind. Some people don't want the bill immediately after finishing because they're either (a) finishing their drinks, (b) want to sit and chat a bit longer, or (c) ennumerate other reasons. If the waiting staff brought the bill immediately, no doubt other people would moan that the staff were trying to turf them out and hurry them along.

Simply, as above, "Would you like tea or coffee or to see desserts?" "No thank you, could we have the bill please?" "Yes, certainly, Sir." Easy peasy.

It puzzles me, why do cafes serve up a piece of cream cake on the serviette?
You can't then use the serviette ..
