  • A extended welcome to all those joining us from the alpha thread. Great to have you here! :o

Been a great day here at camp N6.

I've cleaned out the loft conversion ready for painting tomorrow.

Blogged & better still reached the most views ever on my blog.

Found a new blog thanks to OP who posted about the Frugal Queen

Which led us to reading about a quilting show - Which were now attending.

Began learning Spanish on a fantastic online site provided free by the Library. Honestly, I assumed the library was uncool, how wrong was I? :o The resources I'm currently using are charged on subscription in America $35 per month! and I can see why, the quality is fantastic!

    Booked a C&C for tomorrow.

Tempted to grab 2 bottles of Carex in store and cross my fingers for three hours :rotfl:

Hope everyone's had a fantastic weekend.

Very central then, you won't be needing a car. I would say you will just enjoy your days wandering round the city. The Armouries is very close by LS and is well worth a visit. Further afield you have Kirkstall Abbey and Harewood House but depends what your interests are. Enjoy yourselves xx

Thank you. I think we're both just looking forward to having a girlie couple of days, my friend not having to think about chemo etc. We get there Tuesday and leave Thursday, so I'm sure we'll find plenty to keep us occupied. Kids are home alone for 3 nights!:eek:

mhoc, I did sign up to dealzippy and get emails for Leeds. I very nearly bought a groupon voucher the other night, but the restaurant had pretty bad reviews on trip advisor, so decided against it in the end.

rhos, sorry to hear you've had a hospital visit, thinking of you.

After posting about car booties last night, I have decided to give it a go next sunday - although weather in Manchester supposed to be poop :( Thanks for all the help last night :)

There is one at Carrington called Millhouse car boot which is a tenner but you get a table and clothes rail included. Problem is that it is outdoors so not sure how many will turn up and worried about my stuff (and me)..(oh yeah and oh :rotfl:) getting wet.

Other option is Bowlers £18 for an indoor pitch including table but I have heard reports that this one is mainly market stall types selling new stuff rather than car boot stuff. Middleton market one not on next weekend.

Has anyone here ever sold at the above markets or do you know of a better one in the Manchester area?

    TIA :)

I bought plastic dust sheets to put over my stuff in the event of rain.
