Renovations and Repayments.

Not really sure what I'm doing on here but it's certainly been eventful since the last time I posted about sorting out the food planning. Since then I've been careful with my finances but not made any overpayments as I really don't know how much longer I'll have a mortgage to pay. At the moment my son and I are living with my parents and I'm not really sure whether my marriage is repairable. If not, my wife will keep the house and its equity to do with as she wishes.
On the positive side, I'm still managing the food plans / budget as I've taken it upon myself to buy in food and cook here. My parents are enjoying having something a little different at meal times. Can't say I really have any money at all after paying my half of the mortgage and other associated bills. You'll probably be pleased to hear that my parents offered to pay and I declined to let them. I'm keeping up with the spreadsheet, it is helping me to manage.

Oh god Alex I am so sorry to hear that. I dont wish to pry but that's a very fast change of circumstances, are you sure this is not something that can be worked out? it all seemed to be going so well for you all lately. Apologies of this is an insensitive question, take care xMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

Thank you, Kelpie.
My son is still looking forward to Christmas and my parents have made a real effort to make it a little more magical here than they usually do.Oh god Alex I am so sorry to hear that. Thank you, NG.
I hope it is something we can work out, we are having counselling together in the new year. However, something needs to change as I cannot trust her. A couple of years ago she asked if I'd have a problem with her seeing someone else whilst being married to me, after that she's constantly been taking cash until recently and again, just before Christmas (the question a couple of years ago was at the same time of year) she's told me something which makes me question my trust in her. To be honest, I want to remain married, though I want the days of being married to someone who openly says that she has no respect for me and the choices I have made (putting my son first being one) to be over. I suppose I don't want my son to grow up thinking that is what a marriage should be.

The meal planning and spreadsheets are actually quite important to me at the moment.I don't want to slip back into bad habits.

Sorry to hear your news Alex xxWe made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
Sorry to hear your news Alex, I had hoped things had improved. I have to agree that if MrsK has no respect for you then any sort of future would be very difficult to contemplate. Counselling has to be worth a try.
Meanwhile, I'm delighted your parents are helping to give LittleK a good Christmas and I expect Christmas dinner this time will be the best in years. Have you done the Aldi trip yet?;)0 -
Sorry to hear your news Alex. God bless and keep you and little K.0
