Nice to read the early bedtimes are helping with the sleep and the mood. And we all have times when the spending falls off the wagon as it were...."to continuing improvements"
Thanks, Watty.
Managed to not spend any money today, so hopefully this is at least a start.2018 totals:

You're sounding so much more positive, Alex, even with negative subjects (overspending, interviews , etc). :j I hope this continues for you into the new year.0

I'm back to cause havoc on your thread again, ha ha ha! Hope you and yours are well - going to do a bit of a catch-up on the posts

Well, another month has gone and somehow we have a 6 year old... I really am becoming one of those old people complaining how time "flies". :rotfl: We did manage to recover a little financially over this past week or so as we've spent very little money.
I'm keeping the spreadsheet up to date and we're starting to find what we spend the most money on and also about things we're buying that we don't really need.
I'm looking forward to a quiet December as November has been busy and expensive. However, we've got through it and mentally I'm feeling better than I have done in a lot of years.hiddenshadow wrote: »You're sounding so much more positive, Alex, even with negative subjects (overspending, interviews , etc). :j I hope this continues for you into the new year.
Thank you, hiddenshadow.I'm trying to stay positive, though these past few nights I've had difficulty sleeping which hasn't made things easy. I have realised this contributes towards negativity. Trying to carry on doing the right thing by going to bed at a reasonable time, though.

Yep, November was quite expensive here as well so looking forward to a reasonably chilled December

We're all good, thank you.
I'm pretty good now that I'm working againyou will be delighted to know I've landed myself a job in academia! I am working in a university fibrosis research lab.
It's much better than selling insurance, which I did post-redundancy out of necessity for a couple of months :rotfl: I was AWFUL at it!

Yes, he's 6. Can hardly believe it myself, to be honest.
We're having a quiet month and have already planned our days out. My wife is looking forward to a quiet week over Christmas. At the moment she is out working from 7am-almost 8pm everyday.
That's wonderful news about your job.I'd really like to work as an academic. Perhaps I'll fulfil that dream one day but for the moment I've accepted a place as a trainee primary school teacher for the next academic year.
Great news.:)
Thanks, maman.2018 totals:

1st December.
First NSD of the month, so it looks like we're starting as we mean to go on.
We've also set a target of a £300 overpayment and a £310 savings target to take us over £10,000 for the year, although we don't actually have any of the money we saved after the roof and MGB.2018 totals:

Wow congratulations Alex :TMFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0
