we should stick the stickers on the checkout people... give them a thumbs up or down at the end of the transaction, depending on the number of vouchers scanned, and if they're really good, they can have some stars as well.
    TOP MONEYSAVING TIP

Make your own Pot Noodles using a flower pot, sawdust and some old shoe laces. Pour in boiling water, stir then allow to stand for two minutes before taking one mouthful, and throwing away. Just like the real thing!

I'm putting mine aside for the Xmas Shoebox appeal

    http://www.samaritanspurse.uk.com/occ/filling-a-box.asp

Also the little fish stickers which are in the green vitamin bags free at Boots - these also have a set of four crayons which would be ideal for the shoe boxes

I had a good run this afternoon and also helped my daughters friend to see the light!

I was feeling quite lazy today and although I intended to get up and out for 10am, it was actually closer to 2pm before we were all sorted and ready :p

Went to my local and my daughters friend wanted to buy some Sure deo for 2 for £3, told her to choose some more stuff up to a tenner and I would help her to get it cheaper. She bought 2x Sure 2x Elvive 2x So! body spray and some pop and chocolate (typical teenager) she also bought 2x the hair/skin/nails boxed healthcare thingamajig plus paracetamol, total came to £24 before bogof came off and £13 something afterwards. I gave her the £2.50 Hb and 2 x£1.25 quits and 2x £1 Hb plus the £2 Hc and 2x £1 HC and she ended up paying £2.33 for the whole lot, not bad when she was going to buy the Sure deo for £3 anyway :) and she couldn't stop grinnning!

My own shops went brilliantly and ended up with another 6 sets of Nicky Clarke and 4 Macadam. I still had about 10 of the Sb's left though but it was almost 3.30 by then so couldn't be bothered to go back in and buy even more as its not as though we actually need it! plus, I am not impressed at all by the Nicky Clarke, it doesn't look very posh sat on my bathroom shelves but can't argue as it was free anyway :)

My daughter hasn't been shopping with me for a while and she kept putting the value ranges in the trolley every time she spotted something she wanted this afternoon, I had to re-educate her that she doesn't need to do that anymore, it was quite funny really as she put some Chocco snappies (whatever they are called) in the trolley and I told her to go and get the real Coco snaps, the same with some packet mashed potatoe (she likes it but I think its horrible) she put the value version in and I told her to take it back and get some Smash! :rotfl: Its not that we are hard up or anything but I have always been careful with money and a bit of a bargain hunter so my daughter is used to me buying the cheaper versions of things, not now though :T

Thats what has been so amazing for me and a real eyeopener as well. For the first time in a long time, I have almost been able to put anything in my trolley I wanted to, without checking the price as I know I can get it cheaper regardless anyway :)

Its a heady feeling :j and all thanks to the fabulous people on here, thanks a million :A

I made a daft mistake yesterday while at Tesco

This weeks Pick me up has a £1 voucher in it for Hair magazine so I have been buying quite a few and then using the moc from previous Pick me ups to buy new ones ;)

However, yesterday I bought what I thought were the 65p ones with a £1 voucher but when I got them home, they were the £1.30 summer versions with no vouchers, how daft am I!

Anyway, took them back to Cs today and she said go and choose £6.50 worth of magazines to replace them so I had a lovely 15 minutes choosing new mags that I actually wanted to read, it was great!

Even better though, when I looked on my original receipt so see how much they had cost me, the total at the bottom for the mags and a load of other things, only came to 87p :rotfl:

Thank you very much to everyone on this thread!

I've only just started Tesco'ing, and really like the results!

A kind lady on PTS swapped me some H&B and SB coupons, so I managed to do three "shops" with them before the SB vouchers ran out. One was last week, got 3 JF things.

This week I got the following twice:
    2x Nicky Clarke shampoo
    2x Nicky Clarke conditioner
    1x McAdam blonde shampoo
    1x McAdam blonde conditioner

Had been lining coupons up to get the most hair stuff out of them, but then realised that I won't be able to use it all myself anyway, and really what I want is as much ££ off my other shopping as I can get, since I'm rather strapped for cash.

Managed to get all this week's shopping for a total of 41p from first shop (£36.30 before BOGOFs, £5.96 other MOCs) and 5p (29.68 before BOGOFs, £5.16 other MOCs) from second shop. I used two different young lads, they were both laughing with me when they realised how little I paid :)

I used my clubcard for the first shop, since I had some extra points coupons for my other shopping too. I didn't use it for the second shop, and missed out on 17 points.

Do you all use your clubcards when doing these fabulous moneysaving shops?

    The disaster was this:

2 x Kids chewable vits with omega 3 (marked as £2.98 BOGOF) but are in fact £2.48!
Only when I look at my receipt I realised the kids vits are actually £2.48 not £2.98!! So ended up paying £4.00 more than I wanted to!!

    Watch out!
    !)

I was confused by these vits too......
According to t.com this vitamin.... Haliborange Dha Omega 3 Plus A+C+D+E 30s is £2.97

    and this one is £2.48

So make sure you are working your calculations out accordingly

    Todsy I bought -
4 x face wipes at 2.49 on bogof and 37p toothpaste.

    total - 10.33

    Left to pay - 5.35

    I used, 2.50, 1.25 and colgate voucher, 40.

    Left to pay 1.20

Why would the till not accept the 1 HB coupon?
Have had this happen twice this week but not sure why?

If I'm using loads of vouchers I don't use my clubcard......or tesco identity card as its known around here. Its always handy to have a paper clubcard too. (The ones where you fill in your details before they send you your plastic card)

You missed out on 17 points......but gained £'s worth of goods.... I know which one I would rather have. :D
