    Hi All

Just wanted to provide an update, I have now had a try at the face oils recommended and they havent seemed to suit me very well. I have tried coconut and rosehip oil and purchased good quality products which I have applied at night and they have dried my skin out more and left it feeling sore in the morning.
I have also tried a Neutrogena deep moisture lotion as this was recommended to me and that again has left my skin feeling sore, red and not hydrated enough.
I have also managed to get hold of a Dermalogica sample, the Intense Moisture Balance moisturizer, this felt really nice when applying it to my skin but after a while it had dried out and left dry patches.

I also went to my dermatologist recently and she has recommended I try the la roche-posay effaclar h or duo, neutrogena intense repair lotion and Cetaphil Moisturiser.

Does anyone have anymore suggestions as I am fed up now of spending loads of money and not getting anywhere.

Jai, I am watching your thread with interest. My skin is usually quite dry but this winter has been disasterous for my face. My forehead is dry, flaky and red and nothing I try has helped. My latest test is with the Avene super sensitive range and while it's going ok, it's not totally curing it. I'm currently using Avene's Eau Thermale milk cleanser with the Hydrance Optimale serum and and anti redness moisturiser.
I've also reached the point where I'm sick of spending tons of money on things that don't work. It's so frustrating.

I highly recommend Therapi skincare. I know it is expensive, but maybe you can get in touch and ask if you can get a sample to try before buying?

    http://test.therapi.com/

    I have this one http://therapi.com/shop/rose-otto/ultra-radiance-cream/

and I only use it a couple of times a week when i feel that my skin needs some help, put it on at night and my skin is lovely and soft, plump, all blemishes are gone, if I had any.

    Hi OP..
Do you rub your face dry with a towel after washing and then apply the moisturiser?
A dermatologist advised me to do the following.
Gently pat dry skin but leave it slightly damp then immediately moisturise.
I use the Simple face wash and Simple hydrating moisturiser, I never use a toner.
At night I use the face wash and moisturise but in the morning I just rinse my face with luke warm water before moisturising. I exfoliate gently twice a week in the evening
I never use hot water on my face.. only luke warm
The difference this has made to my skin since I started doing this is amazing

I am currently using a Simple face wash in the morning and at night, I always pat my face dry after a shower and immediately put on the moisturizer whilst my face is still slightly wet.

I have tried the Simple face moisturizer recently and it just dried my face out so had to stop using it.

I have also tried the cetaphil lotion recently and this has even dried my face out so not sure what to try next now.

In my opinion you need to stay away from all chemicals and only use natural products. It may take a while, but I am sure you will have the best results
