So pleased for you FPk, you can start planning for your new life in the country now xx
Rainy and grey here today and a very disgruntled Ginny but gave myself one of Mardatha's kicks up the bum and got on with life - its too short to be mad at someone who should know better. Dd's OH is moving out tomorrow and is being a PIA but its his loss.
Just made a load of banana muffins for the kids so that's something productive done. \I also ordered some of those balls for the washing machine instead of soap powder and they were free with my Nielsen scan points. I also have £10 credit on Amazon but cant decide what to get yet.

FairyP, what wonderful news! You so deserve this after all your hard work.
Sweetpea, you can have your fizz and dancing boys and throw in a brass band and a snatch of the Hallelujah Chorus from me.
Sleep well tonight.

FPK - well done! Hope it turns out to be your dream job in every way.
Hester - what everyone else has said. Sounds like your ex MIL is not the only one with dementia, judging by her sons' crackpot suggestion. One life - your life - live it!0 -

Still doing a happy dance here for FPK.
Hugs Ginny, I have those for my washing, my machine only holds 3kl so I only use one ball at a time.
I'm meeting up with DD one day next week but I have already copied and pasted all you comments in an email to her.
She is due to have surgery too soon, twice, once on 30th June (her birthday) and again a few months later, I'm spending time at hers helping with the dogs and children as her OH can't get time off work. I think she is beginning to understand that taking in Grandma isn't feasible.
I really appreciate that you all took the time to post such sensible advice, otherwise she could have agreed without realising the implications.Chin up, Titus out.0 -
Morning all,
Thanks again. I expected a much longer slog. And yes, Ginny, definitely planning our next step in the country!
I'm eating last night's leftover pizza for breakfast, much to OH's disgust. I'll eat lunch with my friend who will feed me in exchange for allotment work. Not sure about tea tonight, OH has been slogging away and is busy today as well so I told him I'd sort something.
Right, I'm off to play on the allotment--I hope the rest of you behave yourselves today. Mar, how much of that elephant have you managed to get through?0
