The Garden Fence - help and support in tough times

I've sad news I'm afraid, Olaf has gone to his last sleep this afternoon. He'd been poorly for a couple of days and was not able to eat at all this lunchtime so we made the vet appointment and when she checked, his teeth had grown some more massive spurs in such a short time and he was uncomfortable so the decision was made to not let him suffer for any longer. He will go beside the rosemary bushes in the back garden where he'll be in the sun. So sad, Lyn xxx.0

I'm sorry to hear that Lyn, although it is nice to know that Olaf won't suffer anymore. It sounds like a nice spot for him. Hugs.x0

So sorry, Mrs LW. Opening your heart and home to animals invites in joy but also eventually sorrow. RiP little piggy. One life - your life - live it!0

gentle hugs Mrs LW, poor Olaf (at least he had a good life with you!)Must use my stash up!0

((((((((Lyn)))))))) I'm sorry that Olaf has passed from this version of life; I tend to think that the animals we have bonded with never leave us in many respects. Take care, hun.Every increased possession loads us with a new weariness.

RIP Olaf. His time on earth was as happy as it could possibly have been under your family's care Lyn.
By the way, what is all this about passing slices of cake to Mar. You must have forgotten that I come somewhere between you and her and any slice of cake coming into my possession has a snowball's chance in hell of getting any further. Sorry Mar.
I am waiting for the first baby to be born with phone already attached to ear.
We had a brass band concert at church on Saturday evening. Their encore was a lively polka which inspired the Rev and an elderly church steward (he'd kill me if he could read that) to 'polka' down the aisle. Having reached the front they turned round and started to polka back down again. Their feet got hopelessly entangled and they ended up on the floor. As someone was heard to remark, "I've heard of rolling in the aisles but never actually seen it before."
I think the Rev has cracked a rib which may encourage her to grow up.
