HESTER, you need a sign saying "When the boat is rocking, don't come knocking! " :rotfl:

Goodness, it's a grey old day out there this morning in our bit of the SE. But it's going to be very mild, lovely :)

The sun is coming out here. Already had a walk with Poppet and LittleyDog. Will be stuck in all day though doing the paid stuff.

Misty and windy up here, trying to drizzle. Mild though. Did a bit of pottering in my garden the last few days, the garden I haven't touched since summer 2015. Overdid it naturally, totally knackered now and back on the couch. But happy :D
  • Been drizzling here since yesterday morning but very mild. Pity I can't turn the heating down. It was dreary Saturday too.

Oh what a palaver to send a urine sample these days. A fiddly syringe thing I could not even open. I should have taken it Friday but I could not go. They have to be in by 11am. One of the many side effects of these tablets is you can't P untill you have drunk gallons and then you end up going all night.

Does anyone know anything about basic mobile phones? I need one to open a new account with Skype. They started denying my password and I know it is correct. It's another of those ridiculous circular things again. I cannot change my password unless I log in but they say my password is wrong so I can't, log in they won't accept my password, change it but I can't because they will not accept my password  :wall:

Anyway my DD said she had the same problem and she made a new account. So I tried to set one up and they want to phone you to check if you exist. They won't accept a landline so I have to buy a mobile.

I have 4 vouchers in Amaz*n so I looked in there. All they show me are Big button ones with alarms, for the elderly. Anyone would think I was old.

I may end up with one of them but I know nothing about them.

I tried John Lew1s because they give you good advice but would you believe their idea of a "cheap basic phone" is an iPhone 5 at £399  what just to verify I exist  .

OOoo we have sun a big bright one showing up my dirty windows. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Oh, nursemaggie, how I feel for you. Nothing infuriates me more than being told that I am not who I think I am.

    "Type in your password."
    So I do.
"Sorry. That password is already taken."
Yes. By ME!!!! And you've just told me that I don't exist!

I'm also with you on the subject of phones.
I just want one for the occasional use.
"I'm on the ferry. Can you pick me up?"
"I've missed the bus so will be an hour late."
    That sort of thing.

My phone spends most of its life in the bottom of a bag or drawer. My friends and family know better than to ring me on it for a chat. Mine is very basic (cheap) but when I see all the things it would do if I let it, my blood runs cold.
It is also PAYG. I topped it up to £20 a good while ago.

The other day I had a cold caller who wanted to sell me a contract.
"I can slash the cost of your mobile phone," he began.
My excitement mounted. I am all for prices being slashed.
"What would you say you spend on calls in a typical month?"
    I pondered.
    "Oh, about............20p."

    Silence.

    Click.

    Good luck.

  • That password is allready taken sounds like MSE to me.

This bright sun showed up all the dust so I started dusting. I though wait a minute this is how you start spring cleaning and you have to take that specimen to the Drs. So I left it half done.

DS has been up all night I don't want to wake him. Before you say you can't wake him dusting, a couple of weeks ago he went to bed about five o'clock because he woke up about 3am.

Around 11pm I'm just thinking of going to bed he gets up.

I said "You haven't been in bed long"

"Well there was some building work going on in the bathroom and I couldn't sleep"
